Today’s disabled character of the day is Melody Bledsoe from Switched at Birth, who is Deaf

Melody, it’s illegal to assault students but I’m proud of you.
While I understand a lot of the issues Melody has with Bay, I feel a lot of the time she’s treats Bay very unfairly. Not everything Emmett does is Bay’s fault/influence. Emmett is his own person and can make his own decisions.
AH.
Goodbye Switched at Birth ♡♡♡ *SPOILERS*
I've already been a mess for the last two days for more personal reasons but this just hit me hard. I was with this show since the beginning. I was such a Bemmett shipper for the longest time and then I wasn't. I cannot believe this amazing show has come to an end. It breaks my heart.
So my thoughts on the finale. I'll start with characters I wish had been back for the end:
Abby. Such a big part of this show was the family aspect and I cannot believe they couldn't mention her in the very least. Bay's biological little half-sister. A huge tie to Angelo completely ignored. It's like she never even existed.
Wilke. They bring back Simone and Eric but they can't bring back Wilke for even one episode? I will not lie, I was a big fan of Daphne/Wilke and was actually hoping the show would end with a what if for them. Stupid, I know, but whatever.
And Adrianna. This goes with the whole family thing too. I know the actress is on Jane the Virgin now but I know I'd want my grandma to be at any big events in my life if I had that option. Or any events really.
Next up. Bay and Emmett. I was once one of the biggest Bemmett shippers around but that time ended when I realized Bay deserved way better than Emmett. I forgave him for the cheating. But I will NEVER get over how he turned one of her worst moments into "You cheated on me" and made a movie about it. I am SO HAPPY Bemmett was not brought back for the finale. Though I may be in the minority here. It was nice to see the flashbacks of their history and have it acknowledged. But it was even better that they didn't try to make something more out of it.
Bay and Travis. I LOVE that the show ended with them willing to do long distance. To trust in their relationship that much. And what I love even more is that they didn't give up their dreams for each other. AND THAT WAS OKAY. There was no guilt tripping. There was a mature conversation and they decided they each needed to go after their dreams and still maintain their relationship. They didn't have to give up who they were and what they wanted.
Regina and Eric. I didn't see that coming. I mean Regina flat out told Angelo and Luca that she didn't want to be a mom. To raise another kid. And yet she decides she'll raise Will while Eric is in jail. I mean what? I get that Will is like a teen (or preteen?) and not a baby but still.
Toby finding a new passion in his life was amazing. I think it was so cute that he, Lily, and Carlton looked so freaking happy. Something I didn't know I needed but am so glad I got.
Daphne telling off that Doctor was fantastic. Daphne and Mingo... I don't really care. Then Melody deciding to stay and help Matthew was great. Emmett and Travis going to Japan and spending time together. Bay possibly getting her art on someone high profile and advancing her career. John and Regina and Kathryn and their little parental speeches.
Bravo for such an amazing ending. Though there were some things I didn't care much about, I really think this ending was an amazing way to go out. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
