my unusual take is that Blackbird is NOT the moment Blaine realized he had feelings for Kurt, but rather the moment he realized those feelings were worth all the risk and fear and uncertainty of plunging forward into something he has no map for. If you go back to that scene in "Silly Love Songs" where Kurt confesses that he thought Blaine was going to ask him out, Blaine never says he doesn't feel the same way. He says "I don't want to mess this up." I think that long moment he takes before he says "I really am clueless" — That. That is when he realizes how he feels, and what they've been becoming to each other. Blackbird is a personal revelation — the revelation that he'll be missing something beautiful if he doesn't let go of his fear.
