Started work on the Monster section making the search and information pages. Thinking of possibly adding filters for the search page, but next is working on the loot table for the information page.

Started work on the Monster section making the search and information pages. Thinking of possibly adding filters for the search page, but next is working on the loot table for the information page.
As a UI Design project I have decided to create a ‘Monster Hunter Companion App’ to be used by players so they can easily search for information about monsters and loot drops within the game. The idea is that while they are playing instead of needing to trawl the internet for fan websites they can use an official app on their mobile device for quick and easy access.
I want the aesthetic of the app to reflect that of the game so I am trying to match up imagery, typography and colour scheming as much as possible.
I’ve gone for a basic design for the start screen with the Monster Hunter logo in the background, the app title and a button to click to access the app. I’ve done 4 variations pf the screen with slightly different font and colour effects for the background. The overall theme is gold due to the actual logo being that colour, but I also liked the black variant as a very clean aesthetic.
I am currently favouring #2 but would love to hear feedback on which versions other people like or any improvements that can be made!
I’ve just started working on the first screen the user will see when entering the app with is the ‘search screen’. Here the user has the choice of either typing in a search phrase or browsing by category. I’m also going to do a mockup of what it looks like when performing a search.
Overall I went with a faded version of the logo in the background to add some flair but not distracting from the text. I tried super simplistic with #1 then gradually added more ‘decor’ up to #4. I’m still tinkering with this but currently favouring #4. I don’t want to add too much to the screen otherwise it will be cluttered so I think #4 has enough but I didn’t know if maybe there needed to be a little description saying click the boxes or search, or whether the design speaks for itself enough that the user can work out what they need to do!
As per usual any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
