Hey, just wanted to clear up misinformation being spread about my dead friend. Our friendship did not end over politics. We were about 99% aligned on politics, he was a huge liberal like me, we even both had a similar arc of being former right-wingers and such, AND we even took our political journey together.
Our friendship didn't end, period. We were still sending each other memes and links all the time. Our friendship was just strained due to infighting between me and mutual friends. We had 2 mutual friends, one was very mentally ill and troubled, the other had a crush on the troubled guy. So when me and the troubled moot had a fight, moot with crush also turned on me, and it made a big mess.
The reason I remade my political blog and went absolutely berserk is because it's what my friend loved doing. He loved politics, he loved being a lunatic, he loved fighting, and he loved me. I just wish I could have repaired our friendship before he died.
He was one of the most loyal people I've ever known. My life kinda fell apart all at once (due to the housefire, PTSD from the fire, the friend group split, family deaths, family illnesses, my own illnesses, etc.) and it was a Humpty Dumpty situation where I just couldn't put it back together again. Little did I know that my friend was on a very tight timeline. I don't think he knew either, although he probably did at least somewhat on a subconscious level.
So no, me and my friend didn't split over dumb US politics. I'm not on that other account to shadowbox his corpse. He was a good fucking dude, WAY TOO YOUNG to die, with a lot of personal problems who did his best to help others as selflessly as possible.
R.I.P. Membah666. You were a real one and a true Satanic metalhead of the highest order. I only hope that one day I can pay you tribute in a way that would make you proud.
