Luz can, will, and has swallowed light spells. They don’t hurt her, but they definitely feel weird and uncomfortable on her organs. They always die out on their own and her insides feel like ash for a while. There’s no specific reason why she swallows them. She just sees something shiny and impulsively decides “ah yes. munch.” Nowadays she holds the light in her mouth because it makes her eyes and nose all glowy and shiny. And her tongue glows for a few hours afterwards. She jokes that she’s a human flashlight and has absolutely done it just to watch everyone’s reactions.
