The way Amy gasses Silver's flower up is very sweet.
She helped Silver first come into his gardening hobby, and Silver wanted to be recognized for his work and how far he's come with it. And Amy acknowledges him more than almost anyone else does. She even had a clear bias for him when doing introductions to the competitors and adding an extra flare to Silver's. If things hadn't gone the way they did, she definitely would have put her finger on the scale to try and give Silver the win, hands-down.
Her bestie wants to show you his plants, and you better say they're cool!
Did Blitz actually crack open a dictionary after Truth Seekers?
During the hallucination in Truth Seekers, one of Moxxie's insults included "Perhaps you should crack open a dictionary sometime." Since then, I've noticed that Blitz's spelling has incrementally gotten better over time.
I think there's some merit to the theory that he is dyslexic, and I heard somewhere that his texting mistakes are mostly related to his fingers being way too big for the screen to type properly.
But I'm also wondering if Blitz just learned to spell things wrong growing up.
More under the cut ↓
Moxxie seems well educated, but this may be an outlier for imps.
Knowing Moxxie, there's an equal chance that he's a "self-starter" that loves books and knowledge like Stolas, but it's also possible that he actually received a proper education. Whether it was Crimson or his mother that may have prioritized his education, they certainly had the money and connections to make it happen.
For Blitz, between becoming homeless as a teenager and dropping out of college, he was perhaps at a greater disadvantage than most other imps. This could help explain his grammar and spelling mistakes as well as his difficulty understanding "rich people talk." Taking that into consideration, I think it's safe to assume that Blitz is on the lower end of the educational spectrum.
Sinsmas in particular gave us a glimpse into the spelling habits of the average imp. It seems like the level of literacy has a wide range, leading me to believe that education is at least somewhat accessible, but likely has an affordability relationship.
For example, the higher-end clothing store is not only spelled correctly, but is using more complex words. It's possible that this store in particular is not actually owned by an imp, considering Millie's reaction in Ghostfuckers to the idea that Blitz worked for himself. If so, it's arguably more evidence that imps do not generally have access to higher, or at least quality, education.
Meanwhile, the market street is full of handwritten signs with some spelling errors, and even a commercially available product at the grocery store is misspelled.
Either way, after Truth Seekers, we see a slow progression of improvement in his spelling. The outliers appear to be related to Moxxie specifically.
By Full Moon we know that Blitz can spell Moxxie's name correctly, thanks to the calendar at the beginning of the episode.
Despite this, in the paperwork that he gives him directly, his name is misspelled and the letters aren't all facing the correct direction. Honestly, you couldn't spell it more incorrectly if you tried, without it becoming a different word altogether (such as Foxxie or Roxxie, for example, lol).
The only mistake I see on the calendar is a misplacement of the s and i in "business day", lending further credence to the idea that he is dyslexic or, at minimum, affected by ADHD.
Whether this is due to a moment of dyslexia or not, I think it's safe to say that Blitz is either trolling Moxxie, or doesn't want Moxxie to notice and comment on his improvement. As much as Moxxie can get caught up in seeking approval from Blitz, he's not afraid to roast him now and then.
Considering how carefully everything is written in his personal calendar and on the whiteboard that he knows Stolas will see, he is clearly at least taking the time to check and correct his work when he spends the time and effort to do it. (Again, the only thing misspelled is Moxxie's name, though is it considerably closer to the actual spelling here lol.)
Judging by the amount of correct spelling shown on the whiteboard even as early as episode 3 (Spring Broken), I'm genuinely wondering if some of the discrepancy is less of a skill issue and more about exposure to correct spelling in his daily life (as shown in the market scene from Sinsmas).
As mentioned earlier, Moxxie seems to be an outlier when it comes to education levels against the average imp. Spending time around Moxxie may have been the first time that anyone has even mentioned to Blitz that his spelling and grammar had so many mistakes.
So, I think there's a decent chance that he literally just learned to spell a lot of words incorrectly. It may have never even occurred to him to check what he's learned from his surroundings against an actual dictionary... until he met Moxxie.
I'm gonna be delusional for a second and say that Blitzø getting topped is going to be a massive plot point sometime in the future. Mostly because he's really adamant that he's a top, clearly does not do foreplay, and relies on acting like he's good at sex to convince people that he's good at sex (which somehow works??)
BUT in Spring Broken we got that scene where Moxxie is drunk and being all lovey after Millie and Blitzø goes, "she totally pegs you, doesn't she?" And also his fucking Blush when he sees Moxxie "eating out" the Asmodean crystal.
From that I have reached the conclusions that Blitzø thinks the best way to win people over is to fuck them (which tbf seems to have worked for him a bunch of times... so) and also he gets reallll flustered when someone ACTUALLY knows what they're doing. Getting topped really good is going to fix him, I can feel it.
