Had time to add to the Memory Ghosts mermaid AU pile! I couldn't break tradition and not do one for mermay. Once again only had time for a messy doodle!
This year went with Foster!
Medicine cats occasionally experiencing "memory ghosts"- thoughts and feelings and memories of cats that have passed on in places of emotional importance to them. Many think that it's just random, others that it's a message from Starclan; in a way, it's both. A subconscious message from specific Starclan cats, especially those beginning to fade, so that some part of them is remembered by the living. This can also happen if a cat's remains were never found, and the medicine cat stumbles across their resting places. (See the Riverclan being really superstitious about funerary rites headcanon) Medicine cats who know this, memorize those memory ghosts, mark the spots (often in the same manner as they would the graves of their clanmates) and take their apprentices there to tell them about these cats, so that their spirits don't fade (or so they can finally rest in the cases where they were never found and properly buried).
I made a short video blog because I felt like it? I don’t normally but wearing a mask is a big confidence booster - I’m half hidden! Anyway, this is me revisiting some of my favourite memory “ghosts” in Norwich yesterday where, nearly 13 years ago, at their cinema, I met Geoffrey Rush for the first time at a special premiere event thingy for “The Golden Age”, and he gave me a book and... yeah it was amazing. There’s a great story behind it which makes it more special. I am super sad that this cinema, along with many in the Cineworld/Picturehouse chain have now closed due to the crisis the arts industry is finding itself in. Very, very sad... :( Hopefully they will be rescued again at some point in future!
These are the very stairs where GR asked my name and when I gave my real name, he then said “are you Darth Jurious?”. Erm, yep! Big grin!

Memory Ghosts came out a year ago on the 2nd of this month!! I was distracted with PRETTYBOY Inc. stuff and lowkey missed it but!!

Anyway, what if I made it a tradition for Memory Ghosts to have a mermay au piece every year?
Have another one for Memory Ghosts because this trend is really funny to me and it's v close to my personal goal for it
Posting this early before I forget, but Memory Ghosts came out six(!!!) months ago on the third! I've been busy all six of them, but I have some updates I'm hoping to get out at the end of the month!
For now, have Clara and Ghost!
