One of my little hobby projects this year has been to make this little book of memories. Twelve months ago I lost my Mum to Cancer and the pages in this book are made from bits and pieces from her sewing box, from hand made cards, handkerchiefs or bits that remind me of her. they say all good things must come to an end, but they are wrong. long after the event has passed, the memory finds a permanent home within our minds and heart. the feelings we felt radiate with vibrancy, and the smiles are still ever so contagious. the old diary pages are still stained with messy handwriting, and stuck to it are old photographs. an event is never truly gone for we can simply travel back in time using our mind. what a powerful tool. to be able to close one's eyes and relive a moment. how can good things come to an end? the memories are forever invincible.
