Renesas Electronics has unveiled its sixth-generation DDR5 Registered Clock Driver (RCD) achieving 9 600 MT/s, marking a new benchmark in memory interface speed and performance. The Gen6 RCD offers around 10 % higher bandwidth compared to its Gen5 predecessor (8 800 MT/s), yet retains backward compatibility, enhanced signal integrity and power efficiency—specifically designed to accelerate workloads in AI, HPC and large-scale data centres.
