NOTE TO SELF: Nothing impressive here at all -- dry ribs, weak sausage. My theory remains intact that when a brick-and-mortar restaurant serves you plasticware, they really don’t care what they're serving you anymore. But I've never been impressed with The Rendezvous and I am here to say I think it's one of those restaurants that survives on its reputation alone.

Husband and I are in the middle of brining a pork shoulder for Sunday.
1 cup of salt, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1gal water base. Then peppercorns, crystallized ginger, red pepper flakes, chili powder, garlic, smoked paprika, fresh oregano, onion powder, lemon.
Tomorrow we’re going to make the buns, and should receive some Memphis BBQ supplies from @runetheseeker‘s husband.
Then come Sunday morning we’re going to put it into the grill and smoke it for 8 hours.
Sai’s coworkers are going to learn what real BBQ is because Indianapolis doesn’t know how to fucking do it.
