Pack Mentality
Random thought
It’s funny how some men (who have fragile egos apparently) get mad over all the new movies and attention being given to women. Like why? Is it because you really want to oppress us or think that showing how strong women truly can be is a bad thing? Or are you just afraid of strong women?
“AAA” Games
When people think “AAA” games, they think of games with the highest developing and marketing budgets and price, along with a lot of development time of course. Maybe even have a supposed “premium” version of the game with extras like art books, figures, etc... Well, I have a different way of seeing it. I consider a game “AAA” only if it’s really good. :P
See, there’s a certain mentality of sorts that revolve around the term “AAA” that I don’t really like because it undermines the primary aspect of a game: The design. Money, marketing and side merch were proven to have nothing to do with good game design. It’s just a way to make a game “look” better than it may actually be. Heck, it may actually skew a person’s opinion of a game which goes more hand in hand with marketing tactics than gameplay. For instance, you have likely heard of a indie developer making a game for $20-$30, then during development they suddenly decide to make it “AAA” by upping the price to like $50-$60, maybe having a pricier “special edition” with swag, without really any sort of major gameplay improvements.
I do think some people are catching on to this though. Not enough however as they still manage to sucker people in through that sort of marketing. Even to the extent of suckering people in to fan funding it through backers taking the risk by getting them to “think” the game will turn out to be amazing by essentially fronting the development costs. Mighty No. 9, No Man’s Sky... Even systems like the Ouya... So that whole “all indie games are amazing” mentality is seemingly slowly going out the window. Not as fast as it needs to though because people are still being taken advantage of.
I guess it’s similar to how it happened with console/PC games way back. Like, remember Nintendo creating the “Seal Of Quality” where it was sort of like a followup to the industry crash from bad games to reassure people they would only allow good ones? Nope, bad games still got on there thus making that seal moot, lol! Only I guess with console/PC games, they stick with a similar price point with every game (not counting sales of course) regardless of content quality so they tend to camouflage within each other to the point you don’t know what the production costs and/or effort to make a game was by it’s retail price unless you researched it. Like, in theory the price of a game “should” reflect the supposed production, marketing, costs, quality and length, but when a game like Sonic 06′ is pitted up against something like Super Mario Galaxy, other than price at their launch dates, there’s no comparison in the quality department. XD So the price itself is largely marketing more than anything nowadays. Especially when *shudder* paid DLC gets involved as people rack up bills for digital stuff that ups the price of the game beyond it’s actual worth... (Still’ working on that post about DLC and the ways developers suck more money out of people than ever by the way. There’s a LOT more than even I realized about it and I think you’ll be surprised at my findings.)
Your thoughts? Thanks for reading and have a good one!

its time for me to let out a little rant cause this is just making my head hurt. this to all of the people who are "bored" with their life, who feel like they're never gonna go anywhere. to the people who think that they'll never amount to anything. to the people who keep throwing themselves pity parties because there life is going the way the wanted it to. YOU ARE YOUR WORST ENEMY. thinking like that and doing nothing to change your life is what is keeping you from being who you want to be. I know what it feels like to be stuck in shitty situations and they're the worst I know, but you gotta stop holding yourself back. You need to fight for what you want in life, it took me a long time to realize it, but you really do. I don't know man, I am just so sick of seeing so many wonderful, talented beings just wasting away their specialities because they're too busy feeling sorry for themselves.
the mentality of people at my school: oh she likes him? she's obsessed.
That "I don't give a fxck" attitude doesn't make you tough, behind that "front" you put on, you're probably just as weak as most.
If you truly don't give a fxck, it's seen through your actions && if that's the case. . .keep your distance. There's already enough people in this world that "don't give a fxck", I'm only interested in the small percentage that do.
