wait- hold up how does the Issac-Megatron dynamic work here?
it's not like Isaac can just sneak a giant-ass robot head into his room if he's damaged. Plus he's got Ratchet and Arcee hanging out with him so it'd be hard to sneak communications with a decepticon- even a newbie like Megatron- past both of them
There’s a good answer to this: he lies!
Remember, Isaac has had a whole life before Sari and the Autobots, and no one wants to take away his “normal” life. So they drop him off at his school and wait for him to call them to pick him up. During this, Isaac sneaks off to the abandoned landfill he found Megatron in and continues to fix him up. I’d imagine he built robots (with Meg’s help) to aid in this. When he’s done, he walks back to his old school and calls Sari to pick him up.
Megatron was truly offline when he first crashed on Earth, and since Isaac was busy with Sari’s creation he just left Meg’s head out on the open. He would visit the head once in a while to reverse engineer it and give him ideas on how to improve his own robots. After a few months the Autobots would show up and Sari’s use of the AllSpark key eventually woke up Megatron. The leader of the Decepticons was NOT happy with Isaac, but since he was missing his whole body he needed his help.
He lied to Isaac about being an Autobot, that his new Cybertronian friends would be never forgive him for messing around with his head. Isaac was distraught, as he didn’t want to lose his first ever friends. Megatron then told him he would personally forgive Isaac if he “helped him out” by creating a body and stuff. Isaac agreed, and using his helper bots moved Meg’s head and parts to an huge abandoned train container, fitted with the technology needed to communicate and help Megatron. Isaac also decided to keep this a secret, as his fear of the Autobots hating him overrode his fear of Megatron.
