Would Nabateans be considered an endangered species? And would you consider it right that they are distrustful of humanity at best (due to most of them being turned into Relics, not to mention the murder and relic of Sothis as well)?

To my knowledge, that wouldn’t be a false statement. Their numbers never recovered after the attack on Ailell and the ensuing war. With only Rhea and Flayn left, with Flayn being related to the remaining men, I wouldn’t be optimistic about their survival. There may be some other means of reproduction that I’m unaware of, but I can’t see why they wouldn’t have employed it already if such a method existed.

Sitri suggests there was something in development, presumed abandoned for the poor health it left new Nabateans with. This does mean that Byleth themselves is half-Nabatean.

Perhaps they will life on in another form. I would say that is better for their sake than extinction.

As for their distrust, it is difficult for me to say. Logically, I am inclined to say they have no right to resent all of humanity for the actions of the relatively few. Certainly not when those who are innocent of these deeds that earned their ire are the ones suffering the most.

But it is also true that I despise the Nabateans for the nightmares they have allowed to become reality. As a further distinction, I am more spiteful towards Rhea and Sothis than I am towards Seteth and Flayn. I am capable of acknowledging nuance, and one would think that creatures with centuries to reach the same conclusions would have managed in it in that time.
