The fourth one, めおと Meoto, is also a song that is performed live for the first time. It is a love song about a married couple that began from an arranged marriage; and in the MV, Yuujirou plays the role of the wife, and Aizou appears as the peculiar-looking husband who has horns.

As I was watching intently with bated breath, wondering how they would perform it in the LIVE - at the same time in the intro, Aizou puts his arms around Yuujirou’s back, similar to a hugging position!?!?! And then, under the illumination of red lighting, an ephemeral and enchanting world unfolds that is reserved only for the two of them. Little by little, the husband and wife begin to get to know each other.

Yuujirou, who has been trained in Kabuki for a long time, plays the female role; he’s beautiful from his flexibility down to his delicate performance. And Aizou, known for his signature smile, is now a clumsy and silent husband. In time with the lyrics, he who is concerned about his wife and who gently drapes his haori over her from behind - I wonder if I can stop my heart from pounding. No, I can’t. They exchange passionate glances, hold each other’s hands, places a hand on (his wife’s) cheek, and going as far as demonstrating a kiss…!! 

And with this unmistakable story of love between a husband and wife, Julietta is captivated.

IMPORTANT NOTES: EXTREMELY dubious line distribution. sue me for confusing their voices when im screaming my lungs out. i translated this in less than an hour be proud of me (or no bc i did this instead of studying for my entrance exams). subject to change if they Ever drop an mv for the context so or so. the title can be translated as husband and wife, which is what is used in the lyrics.

* bit of wordplay here. yujiro (wife) sings “anata” while aizo sings “omae” which are two different ways to say you. anata is often used by women and is also a bit affectionate especially for couples. i tried incoporating that in the tl.

this appears a few times again in the lyrics and to show their difference — my dear is used for the husband and my love is used for the wife.

** it's like saying they're meant to be but that's a little on the nose. this is as close as we get w/o the mv.

It hit me out of the blue today, probably because they've been a coping method during some really hard times in my life, but I started thinking about Meoto today and it was really comforting. Just imagining Kazuki working from home with Junta snuggled up into his side occasionally having one of his patented giggle fits over some meme he's looking at on his phone is a nice thought. Not that Kazu would get much done because Junta would have to keep showing him what was so funny, and eventually things might get distracting in another way, so.

I've just always enjoyed thinking about these two's adult lives together, functioning as husbands, and it never fails to make me smile.
