mephisto wanting nothing more than a kiss in the morning to carry him through the rest of his day.
mephisto had been fixing his gaze upon you for a good while now — your face, your expression, and, perhaps most noticeably, your lips. he wasn't entirely certain why his attention kept returning there, only that it seemed strangely difficult to look away.
you looked every bit the sleeping beauty in that moment, he couldn't help but chuckle softly at the thought. the morning light spilled lazily through the window, bathing your features in a gentle glow — so serene and effortlessly graceful that the kingmaker found himself almost content simply to sit there and watch.
for a moment, he simply remained there, reluctant to disturb the quiet scene before him. it was an indulgence, perhaps, but a harmless one, he told himself — nothing more than allowing himself a fleeting moment to admire the person he held so dearly.
captivated by the temptation, he found himself leaning closer and closer before he could quite convince himself otherwise; his heart seemingly urging him forward like a pawn compelled by its king.
and just as he was about to put an end to his little indulgence and go about his day, your eyes suddenly flew open — wide and startled, almost akin to a surprised cat.
four eyes met one another, barely a few inches apart.
mephisto, however, was quick to regain his composure. almost as swiftly as he'd leaned in, he pulled himself away from his momentary lapse in judgment.
“good morning, dearest.” he greeted you warmly, his voice softened by a gentle, soothing coo. “how long have you been awake?”
“... long enough,” you replied, gaze slipping away from his inquisitive one, though accompanied by the faintest smile tugging at your lips. “and what exactly were you doing just now?”
“ah,” he tilted his head, wearing an almost comically serious expression. “i thought i noticed a little flaw on your face. figured it needed fixing.”
“ ... that’s all?” you asked, your tone carrying the faintest trace of playful disappointment.
he chuckled, clearly amused by your reaction. “that’s all.”
you huffed lightly, giving him a knowing look. “then you should probably fix it properly.”
“is that so?” his smile widened, amusement glinting in his eyes.
before he could offer another clever retort, your lips met his — closing the distance he had been so tempted to cross all along.
i know this might be an unpopular request, but i desire more mephisto fanfiction. i'm on an oc creating run atm, and i am heavily debating whether i commit to writing a mephisto x oc fic.
"Did you set up a fire again?" I teased, pointed to the fire that was on the kitchen counter. "I- uhm..." Mephisto began to stutter, and I giggled. I went up to him, kissing him on the cheek. "My silly villain." I said affectionately, causing him to blush. He smiled, and I smiled back. We then went to go get water, the end!
Hey, hi so a while back you made lolirock x reader drabbles for all the characters, except Mephisto. Idk if you take requests but if yes, I am ready to sell you my soul for anything involving Mephisto x reader PLEASE

The air in Mephistopheles’ study was thick with the scent of old parchment and sandalwood's incense, a stillness broken only by the soft clack of a marble piece being set down. Across the board, you were lost, your eyes tracing the geometric battlefield, cataloging every unmoved soldier.
Mephisto watched, a slow smile curving his lips. He rested his chin on his hand, his star-pupiled gaze never leaving your face.
“You know,” he began, his tone a soft, silken murmur, “I’ve played this game for centuries. With kings and queens, generals and fools.” He paused, his eyes tracing the furrow of your brow.
“But rarely have I seen someone furrow their brow quite so adorably when contemplating a rookie move, my adorable bunny.” You didn’t look up, too deep in your calculations, and he felt his smile widen.
He propped his pouted lips on his knuckles. He was terribly amused by your reactions. Or lack, therefore.
“It’s distracting, you know,” he continued, his voice a low thrum. “Here I am, trying to plan my next brilliant strategy, and all I can think about is how the light catches your expression when you’re concentrating so fiercely.”
He reached across the board, his fingers graceful as they hovered over one of your pieces that had fallen. Gently, he placed your bishop to its original position, his fingertips brushing against yours for a moment longer than strictly necessary, making you all hot on the face as you fought hard against the unholy noises that wanted to escape your throat.
“You’ve left your pawn exposed,” he noted, his eyes finally meeting yours. “Though… I suppose I can’t blame you for being careless. Not when I'm sitting there looking like that.”
Playing with Mephisto was always a challenge and it was not because he was so good at it that winning was impossible, but because he couldn't shut up and let you think.
He had to always be sweet talking you. Always calling you lovie, bunny and sweetheart.
He let his hand linger, his gaze intent. He give you his best smile. You rolled your eyes at him, annoyed, but he was nothing if not determined.
“Tell me,” he asked, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Do you realize how rare it is for someone to make an ancient demon forget about his centuries of accumulated wisdom? Because watching you bite your lip while calculating your next move… well, let’s just say I’m suddenly far more interested in the player than the game, my dearest love.”
He leaned forward, the space between you shrinking to a breath as you pushed him by his face, away. His expression was one of delighted secrecy as he laughed.
“I could win this game in three moves, babe,” he confessed, his voice barely a murmur. "But where’s the fun in that when I can stretch this moment out, watching you scheme and plot, occasionally glancing up at me with those wonderful eyes?”
His voice dropped further, to something warmer, more intimate, meant for your ears alone, while you pretended that all this talk wasn't working on you. A giggle disguised of cough escaping your throat as you quickly looked at him and then back to your pieces.
Asshole.
He was right, but you would never admit that out loud.
“Besides,” he said, “if I win too quickly, you might leave. And I find myself terribly unwilling to let you go just yet, oh my sweet, sweet spouse.”
His hand darted out, swift as a serpent, and captured one of your knights. He held it up, pinched between his thumb and forefinger, as if analyzing a prize.
“Your knight falls,” he declared, his voice laced with theatrical pity. He turned the piece, letting the firelight glint off its carved surface. “Such a shame, he was rather brave, venturing so deep into my territory.”
He set the captured piece beside him, his starry eyes sliding back to yours, gleaming with an ancient, patient hunger.
“Much like someone else I know.”
He almost purred, eyes full of desire and something more as he started to stand up, went around the table and stopped at your feet. His knees meeting the floor as he pulled you down gently. "I can kiss them until they run out of breath."
You decided to bite, finally letting him hear you. His expression was much like a puppy and his tail - which he didn't have - wagged metaphorically behind him.
"Is that so? And what happens when someone's on your territory?"
"And you deserve?" You asked back, turning your face when he tried to kiss you, so his lips met your cheek instead. He whined instantly. He was always like this with you, so different than how he acted with everyone else. "You don't even let me win. Dammit, at least pretend or something."
Mephisto giggled then denied. "Never. Get better on your own, sweetcheeks."
You rolled your eyes. "Guess, you don't deserve a kiss then."
He was so offended that his eyes almost jumped from their sockets, as he nuzzled right into your neck and peppered it with kisses that slowly trailed to your chin. He wanted this as much as you did, but you were better at hiding.
"So needy," you noted, your fingers curling around one of his horns and caressing it to watch him tremble. "Alright, i kiss you. At least then you'll stop whining and talki-"
He didn't even let you finish as met you halfway through the way. His hands cradled your face, your hands tugging at his hair, the minutes went by and you never noticed. It was only when the air left you that you both separated. His forehead against yours as he pressed another kiss to your nose.
"Check mate, my jewel." He made his final move on the board, much to your surprise. "Now, I want to claim my prize." He ignored your angry ramblings at how he took advantage of you not paying close attention, and tilted your head up. His lips found yours again.
But you couldn't complain about that. Not when he kissed you like that. Not when he made you melt like that.
