Day 26 - Tools
Logan and Roman had found the strange device on the ocean floor. They were mermen. Logan's tail was blue, elegant, and a little fluffy looking. Roman's was red with gold speckles, and was even fluffier than Logan's. Logan didn't mind; he was happy with the looks he was given. (Heck, some mers found him even more attractive than Roman! Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all.)
During one of their trips exploring close to the beach, Roman found something interesting. It was a hand-held human back massager. It was aqua green on top and white on the bottom!
'What's that?' he asked, swimming closer. Logan blinked.
'It appears to be from the human world!' He said, examining it.
'Ooh!' Roman said. Instead of taking that as a warning, he pushed the little silver button on top. The device sprang to life, batteries still working! There was a stream of bubbles that come from it. Roman got startled and dropped it, swimming away a small distance.
'Wait!' Logan said, holding Roman's arm, preventing him from swimming any further. 'Perhaps it's a useful invention.'
'Like your glasses?'
Logan nodded, smiling. Ever since he'd found those, his eyesight had improved exponentially.
Roman decided to give the invention another chance. He swam over to it hesitantly. Touching it, he felt a strange sensation.
'Wahh! That was weird!' Roman backed up, shaking his head. 'You pick it up!'
Logan swam over and touched the invention. It sent a wave of tingly sensations through his hand.
'Eeek!' he said, pulling away. Roman stuck out his tongue.
'Told you!'
Logan gave it another try, quickly snatching it up in his hand. He pushed the silver button to turn it off.
'There we go!'
After it stopped vibrating, he took a closer look at it. It was a handle with four round "feet" at the bottom. How strange.
'Whatever could it be used for?' Logan wondered.
Roman took it from him and held its handle. He turned it on.
'I have a few ideas!' He said mischeivously. Bringing it close to Logan, he chased him with it. Logan was still somewhat frightened of the device, not wanting any part in it! He swam quickly, but not quickly enough. Roman caught up to him and snatched him up in one arm. He buzzed the strange device along Logan's back.
'HEHEHEHEHEHEHEEY! THAHAHAT FEEHEEHEHELS NIHIHIHIHICE!' He said, laughing.
Roman smirked. So the device was tickly, now was it? He then moved it along his stomach. Logan squealed and pushed it away.
'Aww!' Roman said. He eyed the device. 'Now this is quite a useful invention!'
Logan crossed his arms. He regretted ever coming with Roman today.
'Are you done?!' he asked, looking unamused. Roman rolled his eyes.
'For now, teach.' He kept the device in his hands.
'Good,' Logan said. He swam back to their cave in a huff.
Back at the cave, he found Patton and Virgil with a similar human invention. It was a mechanical toothbrush. Logan stayed far away from it.
'Isn't this cool?' Patton said. He buzzed it inside Virgil's armpit. Virgil squealed and swam away.
'Hahaha, yeah!'
Wait, what?! Logan thought. Virgil actually liked that?!
'M-may I try?' Logan said softly. Patton grinned. He passed it on to Logan, who buzzed the brush inside his own armpit. Hmm... it felt tingly, but it wasn't so bad when he did it.
'I think you have to try on someone else for it to work.' Patton said.
Logan ran it along Patton's jawline, startled at the squeal that came from his mouth. He dropped the toothbrush by accident. Virgil swooped in and grabbed it before it hit the cave floor. He waved it at Logan. The man flushed and tried to swim away, but Patton grabbed him in a full nelson and held him steady.
'Hehehehehee! V-Vihihirgihil pleheheehheeease!'
'Do you want this, Logan? ... Say the word and I'll stop.'
Logan remained silent, his face on fire. Perhaps he did long for it.
Virgil grinned, running the toothbrush in circles on his belly. Logan shrieked, but he couldn't get away! He thrashed wildly, almost knocking Patton's glasses right off his face!
At that moment, Roman swam in.
'Guys, guess what I-!' He stopped mid-sentence, chuckling at the scene. 'Do you need some help, Logan?'
Logan nodded furiously. But to his surprise, Roman swam towards him with the back massager! Before he could say anything, the man ran it along his shoulder blades, back ribs, and spine! With that combined with the toothbrush on his belly, Logan could hardly stand it!
'HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAAA!! THAHAHAAT FEEHEHEEELS FUHUHUHUUNNY!!'
Virgil snickered, deciding to wiggle his finger in the man's belly button. Logan's laughter went hysterical! He thrashed harder, tears falling from his eyes.
'PLEHEEHEHEHEHEE!! PLEEEHHEEHEHHEEEASE STAHAAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHP!'
Virgil had one last idea. He took the toothbrush and placed it in the man's navel. Then he squeezed his hip.
It was too much for Logan. He doubled over, his laughter going silent. The others took that as their cue to stop.
Logan let himself fall to the cave floor, the buoyancy of the water making it a slow drop. He giggled all the way down, arms wrapped around his stomach, blue tail curled protectively.
The others had to admit he looked downright adorable right now. His red cheeks, his big smile, the tears still falling down his cheeks...
Logan couldn't stop giggling.
'Hey, you alright?' Virgil asked, swimming over. Logan nodded.
'Sttihhhiiihiihill tihihihickles!!'
The others let out a simultaneous 'awww!' They rubbed the tingly sensations away.
'Cutie,' Patton said, pinching his cheek.
Virgil ruffled his hair.
Logan rolled his eyes. He looked up at them with a predatory gaze.
'Well... if you think I'm adorable... I wonder how you will look once I use these devices on you!'
The others looked around for the devices that were once in their hands, but Logan had swiped them and kept them behind his back! He turned them on.
'Now then, who wants to go first...?'
Everyone looked fearful and swam away from him as fast as they could. Logan chuckled.
'I suppose I will have to choose, myself. Hm... yes, this shall be most excellent!' He grinned.
Then he swam in pursuit of the nearest merman he could find!
