It's pretty damn clear today that it's less about ableds wanting to call themselves "cripple" or not and more about wanting to be able to use "cripple" as an insult towards physically disabled people and have it be more socially acceptable when they do it. You don't want to be included you just want to be insulting

but yeah, pretend this pathetic farce of an "acronym" isn't just a bastardized version of TERF. Because "mental exclusionary radical disableds" is totally a normal acronym someone would come up with completely independently and not because they're just a reactionary bigot who thinks comparing physically disabled people who don't want to have their one space taken over by ablebodied people who hate them to TERFs will get people to automatically take their side.

How can you pretend this is not just a desperate attempt to twist the word "TERF" into physically disabled people being evil. Like how do you just lie this blatantly and think you're a good person.
