Elyan is my favorite knight and nothing will change my mind. He was so sweet and he deserved better.

every time I watch the darkest hour and he smiles up at percvial after they save those kids I’m literally cheesing like a idiot.

I also really enjoy the way he fights I can’t tell if I they all have the same fighting style and I’m tripping but his always sticks out to me.

Have you watched bbc's merlin? It's a fun show with some not so good cgi at times but it's good. And on top of that all romance actually makes sense (not that there is a lot of it)!

Okay here’s why I can’t watch Merlin right? No one hate me, I know it’s a good show. I’ve learned like 50% of the plot from tumblr at this point. Instagram keeps showing me Merlin memes cuz it assumes I watch it I guess.

Listen... this is the writer in me... but I can’t get over this.

The entire premise hinges on the idea that Merlin has to keep his magic from Arthur right? And that’s a cool idea and it makes sense from what I’ve seen cuz I guess Arthur’s dad is a dick? Anyway.

There’s no payoff. From what I’ve seen Merlin doesn’t tell Arthur the truth until the last epsidode. So what’s the payoff? That’s only half a character arc. That’s half a story. You can’t present a problem and only write half a solution. Especially when the entire series is based on that problem.

That’s why I cannot watch it. I think I’m right, tell me if I’m wrong I guess cuz again haven’t watched it but seen a lot of memes and tumblr posts

Usually I don’t let that stuff stop me from watching and I don’t assume I’m right about plots based on tumblr posts BUT I just cannot bring myself to watch Merlin because they so obviously skipped over the most interesting part of their idea.

Do you think Arthur is lactose intolerant?

Okay but this question actually got me thinking. He definitely seems like he’s lactose intolerant and I can’t describe why. He just does.

Only Gaius and Merlin know the answer.

If he is lactose intolerant, I pity Merlin, who empties his chamber pot.

Idea: Arthur wasn’t getting fat. He was just bloated. He was eating more cheese as king. The first few seasons, Merlin could try to deny him dairy foods but as king, Arthur thought he could survive it. But we know he’s a fool. Poor Arthur. Long live the king.

Bonus: Uther was also lactose intolerant. That’s the real reason he was so crabby. His tummy was just hurting.
