IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT

Yep, it's yet another cruise, this time from January 5th-9th, to celebrate my 22nd birthday in style!

Due to the lack of Wi-Fi and overall insane charges on data that comes from going overseas, I will be inactive from January 5th-January 8th. To avoid any temptation and anxiety on my end, the tumblr app will be deleted from my phone during that duration, so I won't get any notifications either.

January 4th and 9th will also be days where, owing to the fact that we're sightseeing Florida and heading home respectively, I won't be as active either.

The incorrect quotes blogs will be posted as normal owing to their queued post system, but any comments/dms/birthday gifts/drawings/incorrect quotes/etc. sent to me will be opened upon return to Port Canaveral.

Mind if I tell you a story?

I actually got into the Madoka Magica franchise on Christmas.

I asked for the manga for Christmas to see if I could handle the content of the series (wasn’t sure if it was going to be my speed) but I was fully aware that Mom probably wouldn’t have approved. She is a semi-practicing Christian, and while she doesn’t outright ban stuff, she does refuse to buy things with her money that creep her out due to her beliefs and upbringing. So I have to get them with my own money, which is doable.

Still, might as well put it on there in case, right? I mean, the list was sent to ALL my relatives.

Turns out, Mom thought that Madoka Magica was a straightforward magical girl book based on the cover alone, AND SHE GOT ME THAT ON CHRISTMAS MORNING. And I know this because she was talking about the manga like it was Minky Momo when she was gushing on and on about the deal she got on it.

Needless to say, she is much more aware now with the franchise, but has gotten more comfortable with buying stuff that could potentially squick her out. And I owe her genre blindness to my interest in the entire series.
