Btw I watched the the shortcut of MESC entries and surprisingly, Sopranique caught my eye. The quality of audio was for some reason awful and that was only in their performance 🤔 Have I already mentioned that I'm a sucker for operatic vocals in pop-ish songs? *ekhm* Elina Nechayeva *ekhm*

From what is left I think either Sirena or Mara are the most ear-catching but if they let something so unique for Malta as Cloudmaker go then I think that everything can happen now... Other than that, Loop and Venom seem to keep the level too.

Just send anything but Banana and I will be half-convinced already 🫠

another one i was expecting but also very happy with!

good for him, not a bad song

YESSS this song has become my favorite so i am very happy to see them here

Nathan – “Ghost”

not personally a fan of this one but i know it has hype so i guess it makes sense

Denise Mercieca – “Mara”

glad to see it, great song

Matt Blxck – “Banana”

same as ghost, havent really liked either of matts entries since Come Around but this ones been like majorly hyped so i understand

Gail Attard – “Wild Card”

wasnt expecting this one but sure

Lisa Gauci – “Breathe”

another one im happy with, though didnt 100% expect it to go through

sad for Bewsa, Breaking Bad, Empire, and Bloodstream but i guess we'll see what happens in January

out of all of these my favorite is tied between Bewsa, Loop, Breaking Bad, and Sirena but we'll see how things go when we have a proper stage to work with

MESC going from sharing bottom place in selection quality with UVPSM last year to having a lot of good songs this year (at least so far) was very much not on my esc 2024 bingo card but here we are
