Just got back from my first research trip as a project lead so get ready for gratuitous mountain pictures.
It was a pretty amazing trip. The experiment failed as expected (that's why we do test experiments), we went tobogganing, drank good beer, and didn't freeze to death.

Last week, through our partners @ #FFWCC we were able to hatch 344 Frosted #FlatwoodsSalamander eggs in our #SalamanderLab — This imperiled species is the #1 priority at the Amphibian Foundation, which houses the only captive colony on the planet! Most of the larvae will be permanently housed outdoors in our 20 #mesocosms (artificial wetlands) where we can rear them into adulthood in 'semi-wild' conditions.
