Neo-humans and Meta-evolution
What if every time you are about to die, you actually hop onto a parallele universe plane where your self is not actually dead? In the parallele universe you leave behind, you are dead. The people around you are mourning your death. But you, you are still living and you will live until the path you have taken through these parallele universes can no longer allow you to explore life as your individual. It would be a sort of meta-evolution.
