Alice's Collections Doll Family-A BoBo Fish Doll Box Opening
I got a great deal on one of these cute little fishy dolls over at Alice’s Collections: http://www.acbjd.com
Check out the video to learn more. I hope to post some photos soon.
BJD and a Cup of Tea: Temporary Full Body Blushing
I discuss how to change the color of a ball-jointed doll without permanently dying it. Short answer- use same method for face-ups but apply to the whole doll. See video for examples and discussion of pros and cons of doing full blushing (painting) instead of dying. Dolls featured: DollZone Egg (full company blushing) DollZone Flower Fairy (bull body blushing by me)

Here's a body review of my newest dolls, DollZone Ivy and Special Event Egg. There are photos from the box opening and some size comparison photos of Ivy at the end (16.38). Sorry for the blurriness. I do focus eventually.
Ivy is a full-set (complete face-up, body blushing, clothes, and wig) in tan resin.
Egg was a special event doll that I purchased full blushing for and is in grey skin, though the blushing covers the resin. I haven't seen many of Dollzon'es grey resin dolls, I don't think it's a color they offer regularly, so it might be a special event resin color.

30 Day BJD Photo Challenge: Day 27 - All the props!
I swear I will finish all 30 days...Eventually.
Anything can be a prop. If it’s small and fits your dolly aesthetic, go for it!
You’ve got tiny MLPs? Doll prop. You have tiny teacups you bought at Disney years ago for your MLP collection? Doll prop. You’re crafty and can make your own teacups out of polymer clay? Doll Prop. A doll you purchased came with extra props? Well, this one’s obvious.
I have a lot of unused props that came with my dolls, from magnetic horns, to royal scepters, and a tiny bow and arrow. I tend to use random things I already own that look fun with my dolls, like the little Chip cup I bought at Downtown Disney years ago for a My Little Pony. I have a whole bunch of little Disney props from that trip, but I don’t often use them as my dolls aren’t really part of our every day world, except Momo (in first picture with the Chip teacup).
Still, it’s fun to find random things and use them for dolls. All that really matters is the size, and even then you can get creative.
I’m always looking at different doll props, and I’m hoping to purchase more, as I would love to set my dolls up in scenes from my novels. There are a lot of places that sell dolly sized props. Etsy is one of my favorites. Local craft stores have tons of miniature things, but they don’t always fit SD size, which is sadly what most of my dolls are. Heck, even everyday items can be used for dolls, like keychains or charms. You just have think doll size and bam, Prop!

It’s that time of year again, when everything starts to turn colors, and pumpkin spice starts appearing in everything from lattes to candy. Which means it’s time for the Great Pumpkin Search!
Every year I post pumpkin finds to my blog, metacynth.com
If you’re interested in the wacky pumpkin spice inspired foods that retailers, restaurants, and grocers sell be sure to check it out. I sometimes post DIY and pumpkin recipes. This year I’ll probably limit my posts to October as I don’t have a ton of free time to keep things updated, but as I find pumpkin foods I’ll do my best to share them.
30 Day BJD Photo Challenge: Day 14 - Profile
I couldn’t settle on one for today, so here’s three. The first picture of Amniese (DollZone Orlando WS) is super old, but one of my favorites. I love the shadows in this photo and how the golden ends of her hair really stand out.
Next we have Mystique Chant (DollZone Flower Fairy NPS). I like her profile because of the petals. DollZone really did a nice job with these little fairy dolls.
Last is Amorithia (DollZone Tulip WS) who I think has a lovely profile, especially with her delicate hands.
Amniese and Amorithia both have company faceups, while Mystique Chant was done by me. I’m super happy with all the petals and flower details, but I think I went a little crazy with her eyes. It doesn’t help that she came with red eyes. I think I should replace them with something softer, like purple or blue.
Anyways. I have loved this challenge so much. My dolls are finally getting off their shelves and getting some attention. I even changed a few eyes yesterday after the eye challenge.
