Mario Became Metal Mario By Eating Megavitamins
So in Dr. Mario 64 when you play as Wario, Mario ends up accidentally swallowing all the Megavitamins. This results in him becoming Metal Mario, or better called Metal Dr. Mario. Basically it functioned like a Metal Cap power-up. Written by Eris the Lorekeeper
[Image Description: A metallic statue of a Beanish (plant people from the Mario and Luigi games) person standing in a dank cave. They have short darker hair, and are wearing a long cloak with a long flowing scarf. On their head is a hat with a brim, which one arm is holding onto as though they were in the act of placing the hat on their head. Their expression appears to be one of panicked regret. The walls and floor of the cave they are in are various shades of green, with a path leading off somewhere into the darkness behind the statue. End ID.]

Well, lookie here! Edame found themself a Metal Cap! Unfortunately this particular Metal Cap seems to be a bit, uh...defective. See, instead of just coating Edame in a metal substance that protects them from any attack for a short amount of time, it seems to have solidified their body into that indestructible metal and it doesn't look like it's wearing off any time soon! Hopefully they at least let someone know where they'd be, else they might be stuck here for a long, long time...

Bottle Opener
A bottle opener is a device that enables the removal of metal bottle caps from bottles.
A metal bottle cap is affixed to the rim of the neck of a bottle by being pleated or ruffled around the rim. A bottle opener is a specialized lever inserted beneath the pleated metalwork, which uses a point on the bottle cap as a fulcrum on which to pivot. $
