Metamagic - The art of shaping magic itself
Metamagic is not just another form of magic – it is the higher level at which magic as a system is consciously designed, changed, and reorganized. You don't just cast a spell, you determine how spells can work in principle.
This makes metamagic a discipline for advanced practitioners who already have a solid foundation in magic. This includes basic experience with meditation, visualization, body awareness, ritual work, symbolic thinking, and mythological understanding. Even if these basics are not explicitly part of the teaching, they are considered prerequisites – without them, the foundation is missing.
Hermeticism, especially the seven principles (e.g., spirituality, correspondence, rhythm, polarity), also forms a central foundation of knowledge for understanding metamagic. These principles are not only understood in metamagic, but also reinterpreted on a meta-level and applied functionally. They form the transuniversal set of rules according to which effective structures can arise in the first place. Hermeticism is not an esoteric worldview here, but a logical model of order beyond personal interpretation.
Metamagic is divided into three interrelated subsections:
Subsection I – Metastructure magic
(In short: structure magic)
This first area deals with the understanding and conscious design of structures. Every form of magic, whether spontaneous or ritualized, follows internal patterns. Structural magic teaches us to recognize, organize, and purposefully apply these patterns.
This includes simple energetic forms (e.g., circle rituals, symbol fields) as well as complex, energetically condensed seals or stabilized effective architectures. Structural magic is the foundation and framework for all subsequent levels. Those who fail here cannot continue with metamagic.
Subsection II – Meta-level of the Trinity
(Neith, Kaon, Syra – Body, Mind, Soul)
This area provides a deeper insight into the three fundamental axes of magical reality:
- Neith (Body / Manifestation)
- Kaon (Mind / Formulation)
- Syra (Soul / Feeling, Resonance)
Here, we do not simply talk about body, mind, and soul, but analyze and utilize their magical functional relationship. The three act as interactive fields that can be consciously connected, decoupled, or reversed – which enables profound effects on a structural level.
However, without a solid understanding of structural magic, this work is impossible, as the trinity axes are energetically powerful and unstable magicians can easily disintegrate or become energetically overloaded.
Subsection III – Transdimensional Magic Weaving
The third subarea is the high art of seal magic on the meta level. Here, magic is no longer just cast, but woven – as a multidimensional, transstructural fabric.
Existing magical structures are rearranged, connected, linked, and given new meanings through highly complex seals. These seals do not access the visible, but rather shape the logic of effects, connections, and rules themselves.
Magic weaving allows complex networks of effects to be created that react autonomously, change, or even have an effect on other magicians. Without subsection I (understanding structure) and II (axis work), this level cannot be entered, as otherwise no control over the multidimensional processes is possible.
Those who master these three subsections no longer work within magic, but shape it themselves.
Metamagic is not an introduction to magic—it is the tool of those who have mastered magic itself.
One does not work with spells, but with the laws behind the spells.
And yet metamagic is not a magic system in the true sense of the word. It cannot simply be learned because it takes place beyond magic. What is known on earth as magic – rituals, spells, forms of action – is in this context only a by-product of deeper orders of action.
Metamagic is not a method, but an access to a consciousness of action that is no longer bound to form, but understands form as function. Those who do not recognize this inevitably remain outside.
