There’s a first time for everything… I am taking off of ALL THINGS Stop Writing Alone until after Labor Day. I may pop in here and there around the interwebs, but my regular weekly posts and productions will be on hiatus until my family starts their new school year. We’ve had an extraordinary year (plus) together and for nearly every minute of it, I was working in some capacity. It’s #familytime. It’s #metine. Most of all, it’s long overdue. In August 2018 I took a leap of faith into the depths of my creativity by enrolling in a course in podcasting where I dreamt up Stop Writing Alone, and I never looked back. By the Fall of 2018 the Stop Writing Alone Facebook page and email list was created. On January 31, 2019 the first episode of the podcast aired, and I have shown up to the podcast every week since. In 2020 I added a weekly YouTube series to that schedule, multiple intensive sessions of the Happy Campers Club, and somewhere along the line I also began to add weekly posts to engage the community on the @stopwritingalone Instagram account and FB page. While I knew I needed to take breaks throughout, I kept failing to do what I needed most: take at least one full break, like I always knew I needed in my teaching career. So here it is. A decision I made on perhaps my most personally successful #selfcareSaturday: full stop, a couple of weeks, sure to be back craving creativity, connection and Camp. #outofoffice https://www.instagram.com/p/CSlXCJarOcm/?utm_medium=tumblr
