Quick headcanon post

My Metis has blue markings on her body that glow in the water.

Athena doesn't have them on a daily basis, but after contact with wild water, glowing markings appear on her own body. Pallas used to like them a lot, but now Athena tries to avoid water so as not to show them. She considers them unnecessary and unsightly, and besides, what good warrior wears something that immediately gives away their position?

It's not like Zeus told her that ... on the way to Olympus when she still had her friend's blood on her hands. Not at all. This hypocrite loved them on Metis tho.

Let's torture Metis again, shall we?

One version of how she was eaten by Zeus is that she was transformed into water at that moment, and I've always wondered how the smartest person in his life could be so easily fooled by, you know… him. So here's my idea.

What if she could transform and merge with water at will, travel as a stream, admire the sea as part of it, play with others as a wave, etc. And what if she had a habit of transforming into a droplet that Zeus would put on the shoulder strap of his robe and travel with her incognito over the years they knew each other, so she had no objection to becoming tiny water drop again and falling into his hand, but this time Metis realized too late that she was trapped.

It wasn't the trickery that lost her, it was pure trust in one she loved. Live with it.

"Dangerous" but instead of Hermes and Odysseus it's Metis who leads Zeus from Crete to Olympus and is an absolutely unhelpful gremlin. At the end instead of a wind bag she offers him an emetic and says he only has one chance because no matter if he saves his siblings, his father will know the greatest danger of his is alive. By the way it is so based on this idea:

Imagine her telling him about strangers being around while he rolls his eyes so she literally waves (like, wtih water) him off and throws him down the stairs, with a smile. This would be good as an animation but this is not the time for that lol. Btw, Zeus meeting his siblings is such a brilliant thing for me that THIS would be suitable for some fic ;)
