Played a new song about my Metis great grandmother Eliza Jane today on the Global Morning show. Will find the video once they post it to share with yall. Singing at 8am after an hour and a half of sleep, but it's worth it to sing this song here on Regina when the song is also about this dang snowed in town and this dang colonial history we have here. Today we did a day trip around central Saskatchewan so I could learn more about my culture and about the history in this province. We went to visit the Fish Creek National Historic Site, Batoche National Historic site, and Fort Carlton. We also took the St.Laurent Ferry, and as I mentioned in my last post, stopped for a lovely lunch at the shrine in St.Laurent and did some site seeing there as well. It was wonderful to learn so much and see so many great sites in one day.
