Go ahead, keep looking. It's been fifty years. You never give up, do you? You really are funny! How much longer can you keep up this game, "sis"? -Lumina is a psychic that shares Serah's face (like Psycho Mantis, but she evaded capture by forces looking to weaponize psychics like them). She torments Lightning as she continues to fight the forces of Diamond Dogs, Cipher, FOXHOUND, and The Patriots standing in her way. -The more time goes by, Lightning's memories of Serah erode more and more. The parasites have some...side effects. Eternal youth has some costs, obviously. -How many of Lightning's memories have been tampered with by the Floating Girl? How many are left intact? Why won't she leave her alone after all these years? -Serah has hope that her sister is looking for her, even though the world strives to destroy it.

It must have been soon after the events of Snake Eater that the two of them crossed paths again, talking about what they could remember of Serah.

Silly stuff: I think Lightning would viscerally react to MGSV Ocelot because he and Snow are both voiced by the same VA. she'd get bad flashbacks every time he opened his mouth. he would have vague memories of her due to the extent of his hypnosis, but he'd instinctively know how to get on her nerves.

the paths they've chosen diverge and yet overlap so perfectly. they're almost like siblings. I connected them in this AU just because there are so many parallels between them. ocelot worships big boss and sacrifices his entire life/personality to further bibo's goals. lightning willingly deserts her home to find Serah, and then loses her humanity for her sister in a desperate attempt to save her while she's puppeted around by a cruel god. They both fight the impossible and fate itself, even when they both suffer needlessly for it. They both change themselves to adapt to a merciless world. Ocelot's last moments of lucidity are a return to himself—Lightning is able to defeat Bhunivelze by remembering her real self, the one she's forgotten.

I think about them a lot, haha.
