therapy

He’s sitting in a new office now, the whole thing feels otherworldly. Minseok has been seeing the same wallpaper and sitting on the same velvet brown chair for the past ten years, but now those are not the same walls and the chair he is sitting on is far more comfortable.
His previous therapist, a gentle woman with nice voice and strands of grey hair, moved to Europe leaving Minseok on trusted hands, she said. It wasn’t abrupt, she warned Minseok about the trip one year in advance, and they everyone worked together so the transition would be as smooth as possible. It’s fine by him, in the end. Minseok loves therapy, it’s his life saver - literally. So put him in a room with a fairly young man with flawless hair and calm eyes and he is good to go.
This is the first session, and the mechanics are similar to a blind date. It’s the first time any of you meet in person, and you have to figure out what to say and how to behave. You don’t want the person to think you are weird or crazy right away, let’s wait for the third date at least.
“Seonsaengnim, I like your office."
Minseok moves on the chair a little, testing how nice it is. The cushion makes his lumbar sing in joy because of the hours he has to spend on weird back-killing positions while working.
He continued. "You probably got all the files on me from Yoo seonsaengnim already right? Light reading?”
