Continuing on my other post, the reason I said it made sense that bakudeku didn't get together canonically but I didn't say why.

So b4 you waste your time on this stupid post just know that I lwk ship bakudeku anyways and I'm not denying that that shit was gay as hell.

Anyways, heres a summary bcs this post is 48 paragraphs long and even ik when im dtm.They can not get together because :

1 because these mfs can not handle a relationship with anyone, especially each other.

2 these mfs are lwk suicidal/ WAY to willing to die about stupid things when they are together

3 Bakugo doesn't enjoy when people express interest like that in him . Midoriya would express tf out of that interest unfortunately.

even tho you could definitely say that they had romantic feelings for each other , the main point in their character development is not being so obsessed with each other and distancing themselves from each other/ not being so dependent on the other person.

Especially for bakugo because Bakugos character development was mostly due to a change in behavior around midoriya as well as a change in his perspective of midoriya, aka just resenting midoriya less. Indirectly, that just automatically means he has to stop being so obsessed about midoriya in some ways

Also I just seriously doubt that Hirokoshi could even write that romance because I was fully convinced that Uraraka was delusional

Midoriyas chemistry with her is ALWAYS a kin to a pile of bricks when she is expressing interest in him😭😭 don't get me wrong they have their moments but Midoriya literally never gives a shit every single time something romantic happens 😭😭

Anyways back to the point they're obsessed with each other and are the center of each other's worlds but not in the "aww these 2 are so cute" way but "tf is up with these two weirdos"

And a big problem in their relationship us midoriya is a stereotypical nerd and does affectionate shit and will not leave bakugo alone. Which is literally the cause of all their fights in szn 1

The only time they can have a dynamic that isn't just midoriya getting accosted for existing is when they're either fighting, arguing and/or having playful banter, or Midoriya ignoring Bakugos temper entirely.

And that's all fine and dandy , but Midoriya is a affectionate person. He's also a very emotional person and gets extremely flustered by literally everything. These are all things bakugo hates . In the 1st seasons b4 they have that fight, Midoriya gets extremely flustered/anxious anytime bakugo does anything and bakugo literally hates his ass sb😭😭😭 people acting like that makes bakugo wildly uncomfortable.

And that is how Midoriya acts anytime anything romantic is brought up so if hypothetically he liked bakugo, he would make Bakugo extremely uncomfortable even if bakugo did like him back .

So now we already have a very straight forward reason on why they couldn't date even if they wanted to.

And they only are able to become friends when Midoriyas attitude changes to "I want to surpass you " instead of midoriyas original attitude because midoriya didn't really want to surpass him in the beginning he wants to catch up to him/ be good enough to be his friend.

And bakugo took that as condescension because in his mind midoriya is already alot better than him and acting like that is just weirdo when you know damn well you already surpassed me in multiple different ways. he didn't like that at all.

Bakugo is delusional so you don't actually need to worry about how factaul his perspective was.... because it definitely wasn't broski was projecting mad hard.

Anyways when they have that fight they reach an impasse or wtv tf and midoriya kinda just assumes they are definitely not going to friends anymore until bakugo says "I'm going to surpass you " which is bakugos way of expressing that Midoriya is still going to be in his life or that they are eqauls in a way (because midoriya wasn't his equal before and bakugo felt like he wasn't Midoriyas equal either) they both felt less than and saying that makes it very clear that they are in some way on the same level and are able to compete with one another.

and now they can be friends in good faith! Kinda because now in the name of surpassing each other they both do increasingly stupid things and have like zero common sense between the both of them, not the best idea if you guys are besties but horrible if you guys decided to date because ... duh yall can't both be willing to die about it because of each other yall are going to get killed

These mfs relationship isn't healthy, infact any relationship with Midoriya where the other person imitates him is not a good idea.

I feel like that is the main reason all the romance in this show is just implied and not canon because there is no logical reason or way for any of these people to get together or stay together because they all have the emotional intelligence of a bag of rocks.

BECAUSE THESE ARE A BUNCH OF HIGH SCHOOLERS. Istg animes need to stop being set in high school . It makes sense that this one is but still 😭

Back to the point, the main reason that is really bad within the context is because Bakugo atleast has enough common sense to know his limitations most of the time. When he does "risky" things earlier in the show it's because he knows it will work out.

For example when he decides fuck it, he's going to essentially blow up the whole damn corridor "He can dodge it" because he knows that midoriya is going to do something about it.

he was just testing midoriya and even tho he was acting genuinely unhinged he was actually thinking in that moment and trying to gage midoriyas ability level , and he did it in an environment where he knew it would work out if something went wrong.

Bakugo used to do all this crazy shit in an environment or in a way that if he is wrong there is some kind of a solution. He does do reckless things but never anything that would kill him.

Now as soon as midoriya and bakugo start trying to surpass each other all the time this guy just starts losing braincells and the thought process is "what would midoriya do" and it's always the worst possible option that will probably kill you. In fact, there is no thought process he just immediately starts imitating midoriya.

Midoriya isn't a very reasonable person when it comes to hero work , it's very hard to emulate people like Midoriya and all might so people just do a half bake imitation of him and the problem with that is midoriya is willing to die about the smallest things 😭

Bakugo literally knows that he's going to die and his 1st thought is "can I still catch up to you midoriya " because in a sick and twisted way their competition is the only thing that keeps them going most of the time.

Which would be fine if it didn't lead to both of them almost dieing about it every single time 😭 BAKUGO LITERALLY DIES ABOUT TS😭

And for midoriya , he's not as calculating as bakugo. When Bakugo does crazy "half baked" things he is usually sure that it will work out and he actaully thinks logically, he just doesn't gaf. He's quirk is stronger than most so obviously it usually does work out but Midoriya doesn't emulate the thought process he just emulates bakugos attitude and behavior which is worse for him .

Bakugos arrogance and aggressiveness comes with a level of capability and sureness that you can preform every single time. Midoriya cannot preform everytime in a safe way.

Midoriyas recklessness comes from a place of martyrdom and self-sacrifice and lack of care about yourself but a deep care for others. Bakugo can't do that because unlike midoriya, he doesn't have that many people who will come to his rescue when he does something that's going to kill him. Midoriya can rely on the whole class and so many other people as the story goes along, bakugo can realistically only rely on midoriya todoroki and kirishima and have a level of certainty that they will show up.

Midoriya almost kills himself multiple times in this show and is saved because multiple people noticed he was gone/ knew where he was and saved his ass. Bakugo got kidnapped, and out of the 5 people that went to go get him, 2 of them went to make sure the other 3 didn't die about it.

So now that we know all that lets go to the time skip

when midoriya is basically just like "nah I'm good I already have a job , anyways I'm going to talk to uraraka!!!" When bakugo gives him the suit and wtv

This is kinda like Midoriya saying "I no longer feel like I need to surpass you." This also shows a lot of growth on midoriyas part because if bakugo had asked when he originally started to create his own agency, midoriya probably would have said yes then

You also just straight up can't join an agency if you're a teacher, aizawa isn't apart of any agency and straight up declines when asked to join . All mights agency was being run by other people pretty much independently because he literally never talks about ts again.

midoriya is already committed to helping those kids . And to me this is a based ending because Midoriya has matured to a point where he is finding ways to help people without, (say it with me now) HAVING TO DIE ABOUT IT!!!!

He stops himself from getting into a situation where the only way he will feel like he help enough people is when he's near death.

Midoriya shouldn't be doing full-time hero work because he will not be satisfied until he's literally completely unable to continue or he straight up just dies.

Bakugo should be doing full time hero work because he is able to do alot more than midoriya WITH OUT HURTING HIMSELF .

Bakugo and midoriya should NEVER do hero work together on a regular basis because they encourage each other to... you guessed it DIE ABOUT IT!!!!

These 2 therefore can't get together in good faith AND STAY TOGETHER because why??? Not only do not have emotional maturity, not only can they not express emotions to and about w/o some level of property damage and NOT ONLY can they not be around each other without imitating each other's worst and most reckless qualities but because THEY ARE GOING TO DIE ABOUT ITTT!!!

Damn yall got me fucked up I had to write basically essay length bs about baku deku.

Also correct my grammar if possible because I'm trying to make English my BITCH when school opens up in a couple weeks.

~Midoriya~

Every time he sees you his face flushes, the poor boy can’t help it! You’re just so beautiful and wonderful. He can’t stop thinking about you!

Whenever he talks to you, he fidgets with his hands and stutters a lot.

He tries to keep it a secret, but Ida and Uraraka figured out pretty quickly

He would try to be around you and your friend group to get to know you, hoping to become close with you

He wants to tell you how he feels but he doesn’t know how so he asks All Might for advise.

All Might could tell Izuku had feelings for you so he gave him advise on how to tell you

He wrote you a letter and got too scared to give it to you.

~Bakugo~

He’s Frustrated. Why? Why did you always look so attractive? He shouldn’t be focusing on you or anyone else! He wans to train!

But.. He can’t stop looking at you. It makes him angry.

He doesn’t talk to you unless there’s a situation that makes him, but every time he does, he gets more angry than he usually is. 

His face gets very red, although it’s probably just him being angry.... or so you think...

Even if someone suggests the fact that he may like you, he will deny it. He won’t let anyone know.

He does want to tell you but he believes that there’s no way you’d like someone like him anyway. 

He’s scared to tell you, even if he’ll never admit it.

While he’s used to flirting with other girls, it’s different with you.

Your smile, the way you walk, everything about you seems to put him in a trance.

He often talks to you and tries to flirt, but for some reason it’s harder. With other girls, he’s not afraid to get rejected but with you.. 

He tries to act natural around you, but he gets flustered and sometimes he will even stutter.

He’s told a few close friends about his feelings for you, and they’re trying to get him to ask you on a date. He gets pumped up to do it, but then chickens out.

He can’t take his eyes off of you, he watches you a lot during class.

He talks to you often, and you two become quite close friends, always hanging out during school.

He tries to make it obvious that he likes you but you don’t really notice.

He wants to tell you, but what if you don’t feel the same and that ruins your friendship? 

He wants to be a man and tell you, but he’s terrified to at the same time.

He sometimes will throw out a playful line, flirting with you, and you flirt back and forth, joking around as friends.

He gets mad at himself for not being manly enough to tell you.

He tries to focus on his studies, but he can’t help but notice you. How adorable you look while you’re reading a book or doing work at your desk.

He can’t seem to focus on work when you’re around.

Whenever you come near him, he tenses up and a blush spreads across his face.

He tries to talk to you, but instead of his usual boldness, he’s quite unsure of what to say or do.

He will tell Izuku about his feelings and ask him for advise. Izuku tries to help him as well as he can. 

He really wants to tell you how he feels but he doesn’t know how to. 

Tenya is planning to ask you out, but he wants to make it perfect. He wants to bring you flowers and set up a romantic date that you deserve.

He doesn’t really notice you until the sports festival. Of course you were in his class, but he never paid you much attention until then.

You went up against him in a match, and he almost lost to you. Your quirk was incredibly strong. It amazed him.

After that, he payed more attention to you, and wow. You were always so kind and caring to those around you. 

Your kindness to others made him fall for you. He noticed how you smiled and your eyes lit up when you could help others.

He talked to you casually sometimes, not wanting others to know about his feelings.

Whenever you complimented his abilities, he blushed and got a bit shy about it. 

Shoto really wants to be with you, but he doesn’t know how to open up to someone, he’s scared he will ruin the relationship.
