It should fall out of style to use "speedster" as one big umbrella term for at least two completely different power sets.

I guess a good recent example is Ingenium. Calling him "Tokyo's Favorite Speedster" is... harmless, but it is stripping the whole word of meaning. If a hero doesn't think at the same speed as they move, then that's just a specialized power-type. Those are power-type heroes who specialized into mobility.

At least Ingenium is actually kind of built for mobility, although that's mostly because with his quirk on his elbows he's probably not willing to adapt it for much else, and he doesn't seem like a guy who wants to burn anyone's face off. So he's still self-limiting. True speedsters are usually people you see expanding on their power set as much as they can, instead of working hard to limit themself into something that fits a definition.

Some of these people being called "speedsters" are heroes who have a strength boost or power output, and decided to use it to get okay at moving their body quickly. The notable weakness is that they are limited to whatever movements they can plan ahead, and it either makes them look frantic or makes them rigid.

Plus the category seems like it's widened so that every fan gets to argue that their favorite is the "best" at something, because they can't settle for less-than-best all-arounder. Hawks is not a speedster.
