do any of the todoroki's ever forgive enji? if so, how/if do they let him back into their lives?

So I had to think about this a lot & I have ADHD so it's a day late but here we are. There are mentions of past abuse so this will be under the cut. Also spoilers. If you don't want to read this then in summary, they don't exactly forgive him in the traditional sense & none of them have contact with him after enough therapy.

Shoto:

Shoto cannot forgive Enji but he feels like he should be be the one to hold Enji accountable. He doesn't see his father in person & they write letters to each other. Shoto is determined to make sure that his father changes. After a couple years he stops writing since he realized that it's not his obligation to talk to Enji at all.

Fuyumi:

So I have a whole post about her relationship with Enji here but to summarize she tries to love him & feels guilty for not being able to protect her siblings. She feels even more obligated to help her father change than Shoto does & for a long time struggles with that. At first she tries to visit him but eventually her therapist helps her realize that she doesn't owe him anything & that she doesn't feel safe around him. This helps her realize that she doesn't have to be around for him to change even if she believes that Enji can. She does forgive him but she eventually realizes that doesn't mean forgetting everything.

Toya:

After Toya deals with his anger he realizes something that to him is even worse, he still misses his father. He knows that he can never forgive his father since dealing with his anger doesn't mean he doesn't still feel it but a part of him wants to. He still misses the father of his childhood but knows that it's not healthy for him to be around someone who put him through hell. He eventually manages to not care about Enji all that much & move on with his life without forgiving him.

Rei:

Honestly Rei is just tired of forgiving Enji so she doesn't. He did horrible things to her & she feels like she wasted decades forgiving him. She is still angry but she deals with it in healthy ways & continues going to therapy for decades. She doesn't spend her time hating Enji but also doesn't think that he can change since he's too full of himself to want to.

Semester Three, Part Twelve

It's the first time Himiko has ever told anyone what she did, it would be cathartic if not for the circumstances. Dabi is silent on the other side of the phone before requesting something, that Himiko doesn't ask why he did this. Luckily for him all Himiko wants is to punish him, the explanation doesn't matter so she says yes.

She knows that he'll fulfill his promise and turn himself in so she hangs up and turns to Mera. He quickly asks if Himiko's sure about Dabi not knowing about his secondary quirk and she frowns at him. If he knew about it he never mentioned to her, she knew that his body was built for an ice quirk, not that he had one.

It still doesn't make sense and Himiko isn't sure wether it would be worse for Dabi to have been conning her this whole time or if one day he just decided to betray her. She hates him and she wants him to pay for everything that he's done but she really can't dwell on that or she'll spiral.

So she asks about what her legal situation is now and he starts explaining everything, she won't be going with back with her parents and will be a ward of the state instead. After a minute or two she cuts in with a better, more important question; what can she do to help take down the villians?

Todoroki walks into the classroom and even if no one knew what had happened they would be able to tell that something was wrong. Izuku risks bringing their phone out and texts him, asking how Todoroki is doing. He answers that he feels like he's dying and says nothing further, leaving Izuku very concerned as Aizawa tells everyone to put their phones away and listen to the dorm policies.

Izuku isn't sure what to expect of a sleep over at Todoroki's place and is concerned as to why he invited them but he thinks it could help Todoroki so he hasn't questioned it. So he waves to his mom and walks towards the house. It looks like something out of the Edo period and Izuku's not surprised at how big it is, they're rich.

Todoroki opens the door almost before Izuku can knock and welcomes him inside. The interior is scarcely decorated and they wish that he could say that it was surprising, Todoroki seems like he has very few hobbies or interests and his house reflects that.

Everyone except for Yaoyorozu are already there, sitting around and talking. Todoroki gives the house rules, don't break anything and don't use the kettle. Ashido says that she doesn't know what it's about either and Izuku nods like he doesn't know way too much about the Todoroki family's drama. Izuku wonders if Todoroki's main hobby is trauma dumping because that would certainly make sense.

Ashido asks if they want to play some of the board games she bought and they all decide on Life. Everyone is clearly trying to give their avatar's the strangest lives ever, with Asui, Uraraka and Ashido all murdering their husbands.

They've gone through two rounds when Yaoyorozu arrives, saying that she had to meet with a cousin. Ashido starts telling the grand Odyssey of all the nonsense she's put her character through and Izuku plans out how to feed his fictional children. Instead of continuing they start debating what they should eat before Yaoyorozu offers to make tea in a pan and they decide to order out.

Izuku looks around at the surprisingly still cityscape below him before turning to Nana. She smiles at him and Izuku is struck by how similar they look, they have the same smile. There are a lot of features they don't share but it doesn't really matter, it's enough that the similarity is disturbing.

For a minute he just dwells on that before she speaks, she's addressing him. Izuku's eyes widen and he wonders what is happening, this is supposed to be a dream from Toshinori's perspective or something. But she's looking at him and Izuku asks if it's really her, sure the psychic dreams weren't supposed to happen at all but this is new even for them.

Nana answers that she isn't sure and Izuku wonders how horrifying that must be. Really this whole thing is, being trapped in an unfamiliar body and apparently only able to see some things that are happening to Izuku. They look around to try and make some sense of this but quickly notices that nothing has moved, the city is frozen in time. Izuku decides that despite how strange this is they're going to make the best of it so he asks her if she wants to fly with him.

Nana grins, nodding as Izuku pushes himself off of the ledge and watches her follow him. Just before Izuku is about to hit the ground she grabs him and uses her Quirk. They complain that she's boring but Nana just rolls her eyes and drops him the rest of the way, letting him hit the sidewalk.

She tells him that it's her job to protect him, even in weird Quirk realms before frowning, apparently he's waking up. She turns to glare at the sky and he smiles, after learning so much about her it feels like he knows her already. When she's done cursing the universe Izuku hugs her and laughs, holding him as he fades out of sleep.

Cor's Writing #1

So Cor is @girlfailureinc who is my twin & is writing a fic for me, one that detail's Fuyumi's life year by year in a modern AU. This is the first year.

Fuyumi was born on January 18th, almost five minutes after her brother. She was born perfectly healthy, lungs pumping at just the right rate with her heart beating smoothly. Her brother, however, was too weak, underdeveloped lungs and not enough growth, likely due to their nature as twins. It wasn’t as common in fraternal twins as identical, yes, but it was still possible and the pair of them had a particularly bad case of it, or he did. It wouldn’t cause any permanent damage but when Fuyumi went home as soon as she was born, a perfect, beautiful baby wrapped in her mother’s arms, Toya stayed at hospital for only a few days but Fuyumi had never been more lonely without him. Of course, she did not remember the time but looking back, she felt as if it was the day that truly marked their life, the day they were separated. When Toya returned home, the two refused to be apart again. He was her everything already and she was certain that her role as a sister had been cemented before she even knew what the word meant.

Semester Three, Part Eleven

When Dabi walks in he notices that something's wrong, muttering about how they look like they're doing an intervention. Kurogiri responds and says that they weren't planning one but they should take advantage of the opportunity. Jin nearly laughs at the look on Dabi's face as he asks what about him is concerning, trying to storm off before being stopped by one of Hawks' feathers.

Shigaraki starts listing off a few things, from his general attitude in the past few months and that they clearly haven't been eating enough. The funniest and strangest is when he tried to kill everyone in the room when they were taking him to Garaki because he passed out.

Dabi frowns and starts cursing everyone out which only proves Shigaraki's point. When he's done he grabs the feather pinning him to the wall and leaves the room, only pausing when he hears Hawks' small sound of pain. Jin's a bit surprised and once again wonders if Dabi is as cold and misanthropic as he pretends to be.

After that Jin decides that he needs a smoke break and goes out to the balcony only to be joined by Hawks, who's now wearing his usual horrible disguise. He shows Jin his phone and his heart stops, seeing the face of the man who killed his parents.

He manages to ask what they got him for and Hawks answers that it was just the usual minor villain stuff, a few murders and bank robberies. But he's clearly unnerved by it too and when Jin looks at them long enough he realizes that Hawks and the man, Takami Kanto, have the same eyes.

It's usually not a good sign when Izuku's parents can agree on something. The HPSC, the Ministry of Education and UA decided that it would be safer for UA to become a boarding school. Even better it's all because Izuku was the one being targeted by the MLA, sure the emails didn't say that it was because of that but they're not dumb.

But this time it's not that bad, his parents are completely on board with the idea. Izuku isn't exactly excited about it but it's a free version of moving out and he'll get a chance to join in the shenanigans that he's heard about. Besides it's the only way that he can stay at UA and he would fight any deity and his parents if they tried to make him leave, it's the school of his dreams and he actually has friends there.

Todoroki is waiting for Izuku in a little corner that Izuku's never noticed before. He was a bit worried when they got the text from Todoroki, just asking to talk during lunch but he seems perfectly fine. Then he opens his mouth and Izuku realizes that things can never be completely normal with Todoroki.

Apparently tomorrow will be the eleventh anniversary of him getting his scar. Izuku tries to remember a time when Todoroki has brought up his scar and fails to so he just listens to the story. Todoroki's mother was experiencing some sort of severe psychological distress that Todoroki doesn't go into and dropped some boiling water on him. After that she tried to use her quirk to make things better and failed miserably.

Apparently that's why his parents are separated which makes sense to Izuku. They're not sure they could ever trust someone who would do that to a five year old no matter what they were going through. But he doesn't say that, just asking about how Todoroki's mother is now.

Todoroki says they've been reconnecting and that his mom is thinking of moving to a better apartment but doesn't stay on the topic for long. Instead he drops another bombshell, Geten is a distant cousin of his who turned back up after years of being way. When Izuku seems shocked Todoroki continues, saying that he comes from his mother's side of the family, most of whom are elitists of some type. That makes things slightly less insane but Izuku can't get how you could do that to anyone.

Since Izuku has nothing else to be doing so he's watching Endeavor's press conference. It starts out normal, with Endeavor just answering questions as they notice Todoroki in the crowd. Then someone break in through a door near Endeavor, it's Hitodama who quickly announces that he's just there for Endeavor.

Endeavor yells at someone to get everyone out at Hitodama slams his head against the podium. Everyone's rushing out except for Todoroki, who Endeavor must have been talking to. He's not helping anyone though, he's just frozen before making a barricade between the fight and the civilians.

Izuku wants to get Todoroki to do something after that but he doesn't, just standing and watching. Things get worse when Hitodama is thrown through the wall and hits the ground. Endeavor tackles him to the ground and Hitodama freezes as his mask is shattered. After a moment Endeavor's face shifts and his grip loosens enough for Hitodama to escape and... A spike of ice slams through Endeavor as they both look shocked. Hitodama glances at the camera and Todoroki and shows their full face before running.

Himura calls after Izuku turns off the video and starts trying to text Todoroki, over thirty minutes after this started. She just asks if they saw the broadcast and when he says that they did Himura tells him that she's on her way to meet with someone from the HPSC. Then she asks if he'll tell anyone that her brother, the perfectly kind if strange looking man that Izuku met at the Sports Festival, is Hitodama. Izuku says that he won't and prays that she knew nothing about this.

Writing #8

“Sleepyhead’s awake!” Juro whispers to me as I sit down next to him, raising an eyebrow. Sleepyhead’s been asleep for as long as we’ve been here and no one thinks that he’s going to wake up. My hands are twitching uncontrollably as he puts his hand on my shaking knee. This always happens after I see Kenki-san, he’s supposed to be helping me but I still hate him. 

“No way,” I tell him as Juro stands, gesturing for me to follow him to the hospital section. I just came from that hellhole but apparently it’s important enough for me to see some guy. Reluctantly I follow him and we see Chisaki talking to someone shorter than him, all I can see is white hair. Maybe it’s Sleepyhead but I doubt it, there’s no way that he’s awake when he’s been in a coma for as long as I’ve been here. But then Chisaki starts walking away so we can see him and my heart drops, Juro’s right.

Sleepyhead’s been here for at least a year and we’ve all seen him, no one knows his name or how he came here. He came after a fire at a mountain at Sekoto Peak but we don’t know if that’s where his injuries came from. We’ve all seen him before, those pinkish scars stitched to his regular skin but even that’s marred by whatever happened to him.

He follows after Chisaki and I roll my eyes, deciding to go back to the main area. “Do you wanna see if we can get the TV?” I ask and Juro nods excitedly as we walk back together. Soon enough there’s a strange smell that I don’t recognize and I look up, wondering what’s going on as alarms screech. We both stand up and I can see the panic in his eyes as one of the caretakers starts yelling. All I know is that I have to get out of here as fast as possible, maybe this is me and Juro’s ticket out.

I got a some idea for MHA rewriting, like things I would've changed for a bit or maybe more than a bit because I think it would've been better

Firstly, timeline. UA is a university or college, and therefore everyone present here is actually an adult, 18 or older because it literally makes no sense for literal minors being on frontier and oligarchic fascist state still somewhat wants to have a good façade and also, grown adults are basically simply physically more capable of meaningful actions

Now about the characters:

Izuku. Kind of a mess to begin with. As victim of prolonged bullying myself I give him CPTSD from it and even worse, Izuku begins with toxic positivity and very very idealistic view of hero industry (no wonder, on people like him it works the best). I wanna give him arc where he sees like other side of world and his worldview shatters. Also what shatters is his idealisation of Bakugou because for long time despite everything he still was the most closest person he had (gully whom you viewed as friend, haha...) but after getting true good relationships... Well. Idk some messy reaction. And when Katsuki is kidnapped I wanna give Izuku some moment of hesitation. Does he need to save him? He saved him once and what he got back? The same shit. This ungrateful fuck who used Izu's social isolation and etc, Izuku would really genuinely think about doing nothing abt it and the only thing that makes him move that it's not really heroic at all but that's not because of him but more because of principles. Also Izu's nickname in this AU is Dekiru, which means like "capable" or whatever opposite to deku. Saw it once in tumblr but I lost it

And yes I leave the moment of saving Katsuki from that mud villain unchanged in age of characters as well TOO! But the difference is that AM doesn't give Izuku quirk immediately but he gave him something better – endorsement, support and something of heart of true hero. So Izuku trains this whole time and also since MHA is in future, he's getting a lil bit in engineering (he also meets Hatsumi Mei this way before MHA hehehehrhe) so yes. And he starts like more physically ready for this. I think OFA quirk he'd get after confrontation with Stain

Bakugou. Ohhh I wanna really crash him, his obnoxiousness, entitlement and etc are getting crashed by reality of that... He's not this unique. Yes, academically smart and his quirk among the best in offensive qualities but that's not it. He lacks of team work, patience, EQ and etc and etx and he loses duel to Ochaco (MEIN GOAT). It leads to spiralling, raging and also at some point leads to reflexy and maybe he sees how utterly shitty he was (he'd be hater of Endeavour also because firslty from childhood like "HE'S SO RUDE TO ALL MIGHT") after seeing that him and Enji are closer as people than anyone would've think about. And some moments from internship

And about others I'd write probably later

Also I'd divide UA on groups: Izu Group (Him, Uraraka, Iida), Kirigroup (Kirishima, Bakugou, Ashido, Kyoko), Shouto Group (Shouto, Momo and Tsuyu I guess) and maybe some others.

And also about main antagonist: not AFO nor Shigaraki but rsther my OC who's like the richest man in the world and also man of many faces and appearances

Semester Three, Part Ten

It's Geten, that's all Shoto can think as the hooded figure steps into the classroom. He says something but Shoto doesn't even hear it, just encasing him in a wall of ice. Obviously that doesn't work, Shoto should have used his other Quirk but... Geten breaks through easily and the shards of ice trap Shoto's classmates and forms tekko kagi from what remains.

Shoto doesn't even need to focus, he knows how to fight and how to dodge. Even when it's real it doesn't feel like anything more than the training exercises that he's so used to. But that lack of care gets him hurt, the freezing blades tearing into his stomach. Shoto closes his eyes, hearing his father's voice screaming at him time and time again, all telling him to to do the same thing, use his fire. So, he does.

It's the scream that tells him that something's wrong, his father wouldn't scream at fire. That's when he remembers where he is, what's going on and everything that's happened. The past few months have been a blur and it's only hitting Shoto now, Natsuo is gone. But the person who did it is right in front of him and he won't let the opportunity go to waste.

It's nearly an hour later that Toshinori comes to the classroom and sighs at the scene. He doesn't seem surprised in the slightest when he hearst that Izuku used his quirk, just telling them to follow him and to bring the villain . According to Toshinori they caught most of the villains and he'll be taken for a check up at the hospital since he is injured.

When they get outside of the school Izuku sees Todoroki with a brutal looking cut on his stomach. He's glowering by Aizawa's side and barely acknowledges Izuku. They're nearly too exhausted to wonder what hapepned but when they look at Toshinori he frowns, shaking his head.

After the nurse is sure that Izuku's cut isn't infected Aizawa and someone else walk in. They're talking about how Aizawa is treating her like a kid but they stop when they reach Izuku's section of the room. Izuku was pretty sure he recognized her voice but now he knows who it is, Loud Cloud, a pro hero and the HPSC's envoy.

Aizawa leaves as she gives Izuku the news that he'll have to do something he was hoping would never ocme, paperwork. Apparently at the other villain attacks he got out through technicality's or luck but now he's going to have to fill out form after form about using his quirk. It's not the first time that Izuku's questioned his life decisions but they hope that it'll be the last.

Bakugo's dad yells for him to come downstairs as Izuku reminds himself that he's sixteen. Being back in the house he spent so much of his childhood in is giving him weird feelings of deja vu but he pushes it aside. He's just glad that it's the weekend and that things are back to normal, kind of. Things haven't been normal for Izuku in nearly two years at this point but he's gotten used to having a Quirk and all that.

Things get weirder when Bakugo comes down and basically backflips over the railing to skip a few steps. His father scolds him and Izuku just stares in shock and horror as Bakugo grins, dragging Izuku to his room. They go along with it while the confusion over indoor parkour wears off.

It's awkward at first, Izuku just looks around the room that's changed so much yet so little. They're silent until Bakugo invites them to play some video game that Izuku's never heard of. He nods and within minutes they're competing over who can gather the most items that you need to win. It's not the same as it was when they were kids but it's not all that different either.

Izuku knows that neither of them can go back and change what happened between them but they can make things better and be normal. That's what Izuku wants almost as much as he wants to be a hero, he wants to be a normal kid and eventually a normal person.
