So I was watching yt videos about people's messed up lives& psychology, as you do, and one phrase struck me (it was about addiction but I think it's wider): "we do it not because we don't love you. We do it because we hate ourselves more than we love anyone"
And that phrase, that logic explains so many characters in the Silm so well
