What are some of your favorite aspects of Bond fanon? Are there any aspects that (respectfully!) you don’t engage in yourself, or prefer not to read?

On the Cafe LJ we’ve been discussing the breaking-and-entering trope, domestic fluff, Moneypenny and M, strong vs. damsel Q, and Vesper and Casino Royale in general. We’ve also been lauding all of the awesome meta! What do you guys think about Bond fanon?

Why DOES Bond destroy all of his tech? 

At the Cafe LJ, we’ve wondered if it’s because Bond just doesn’t care about possessions much, if he ever gets resentful when people act more pleased to see that his gun has made it out intact than he has, or if he really is just genuinely accident-prone when it comes to his gadgets! What do you think?
