Fey Ritual
wow so i finished little fires everywhere
some final thoughts:
izzy was so good - the only person untainted and unmarred and deserved so much better than her shitbag of a mother
trip was ok - i feel like his whole thing with being the dumb athlete was kind of overdone but i still enjoyed it
moody deserved better - his brother betrayed him and while he wasn’t entitled to pearl he definitely shouldn’t have been lied to and betrayed
pearl was also so amazing - she deserved so much better
lexie was ok - she was definitely the most flawed of the siblings but i still really liked her despite her casual racism/ micro-aggressions
mia SUCKS - people keep talking about how the ‘better life’ they could have had with the money didn’t matter bc pearl always had what she needed but that’s so ridiculous, yeah she had what she needed but what about the things she just wanted the things she deserved, she never had her own BED for christ’s sake
elena sucks SO MUCH - i can’t even get into this bc it makes my blood boil she tried to control every single aspect of her kids lives until it all blew up in her face, the way she treated izzy genuinely made me sick at times
and finally unpopular opinion:
bebe chow sucks too i get that she was trying her best but her best could have killed that child and she is not in a different place financially than she was before so who is to say she won’t abandon her again
also the idea that the mccouloughs were some asshole white rich people who wanted to just buy may ling is honestly ridiculous - the way linda screamed when she found out her baby was gone, that’s a mother’s scream
(also really hated how the show treated surrogacy and adoption in general)
overall good show and it made me cry at the end: 7/10
Canon AroAce 88/?: Mia Wright aka Mia Warren in Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere (2017) [neither aro nor ace in the series]
‘I know how romantic relationships develop–’ Mia had turned quiet. She suddenly realized that she didn’t know.– Mia had never loved someone [in a romantic way].–It occurred to her that she had never seen a man naked; she had only seen [her brother] Warren without clothes when they were little. –she had never felt a tingling warmth when touching another person, felt electric tension brought on by closeness. Only art made her feel deeply, and of course Pearl.[my translation from the Finnish version]
@aggressivelyarospec week 2020
I'm really amazed by how good Tiffany Boone is at acting exactly like Kerry Washington in Little Fires Everywhere. Just her vocal performance is blowing my mind.
@mrsmiawright: DNA test on the way 💉 😂 Big Lani & Little Mia.
A fun idea for you. Pearl and Trucy being cool big sisters to your Phoenix/Maya kid Mia.
I'm so very sorry for the delay but Yes!! I just had a bit of trouble thinking of what could they do cause with the age gap, we have to consider that Trucy and Pearl would be women with jobs by the time Mia is born and grows up into conciousness lol so they do be more like the fun cousins that take care of her from time to time, so yeah, all 3 of them could go to have some fun hang outs >w<
Like idk going to the zoo :3~~ i like the zoo~~
also separate specific activities like with Khurain training and some playing cards abilities lel, i imagine Mia being a very outdoorsy person and prefers more going out that staying in the house :P
"why did you choose to name phoenix mia in your trans fem au/hc thing" cause its funny its so in your face which makes it extra funny while the parallels are there mia wright actually parallels fuckin dahlia more than mia fey
