This appearance together yesterday with DT looking especially fine is not helping my obsession with the Slow Show by mia_ugly read by Podfixx version of Anthony J Crowley…
I’m in love with that *inhale* gay-human-au-version-of-a-demon-read-by-a-sexy-middle-aged-British-lady. I just am.
For me this is Slow Show by mia_ugly .

Fanfic Review: Not for All My Little Words
Aziraphale has read every book in his shop at least once. He has reread some of his favored volumes dozens of times, has memorized whole great swaths of them. If his own words are insufficient to convince Crowley of his sincerity, then perhaps the words of others can! (He might have the decency to ask the books what they thought of this plan. The books had been watching the two of them for over a hundred years, and certainly had a great deal to say on the matter. But Aziraphale neglects to consult them, and thus will be very unprepared for what happens next.) Back on earth, Aziraphale tries to apologize.

*Minor Spoilers* You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love this fic. Short and sweet, this story follows Aziraphale in his failed attempts to convince Crowley of his love through book and movie quotations. These quick scenes were the perfect blend of romantic silliness. You’ll particularly enjoy the one in the MoMA. I love their dialogue in this, it was very easy to read it in their voices. And I love that we get to just relax here, Aziraphale has left Heaven but we don’t get the details why. We don’t need them here, that’s not what the story is about. A little bit of smut at the end, not overly explicit but I’d love to see what else this specific pair could get up to 👀

Summary:
Sailors call them watermarks. A gift from the sea, a name or symbol written on your chest, meant to guide you to your own true love.
But Stede Bonnet's mark doesn't look like anything at all. Not really. And it certainly doesn't look like 'Edward' or 'Teach' or 'Blackbeard' or a black beard and that's fine. Completely fine. Ed's absolutely fine with it.
Comments:
A classic soulmate-mark AU with a little twist. I really loved how this story plays with the concept of identity, how it develops throughout your life and what it means to create your own self. A wonderfully written, very in-character story that follows a plotline similar to canon. There's a lengthy sex scene in the later chapters that can be skipped if you feel like it.
Plenty of angst in this story and the authors do a great job of keeping you on your toes, wondering where things will go next. There's also extensive introspection and backstory throughout the fic, and I loved every new morsel of information. A must-read for the omfd fandom!

Summary
In which temptations are accomplished, grand romantic gestures are made, and two ineffable co-stars only take four seasons of an award-winning television program to realize they’re on their own side (at last, at last.)

This is a fic I’m sure I don’t need to recommend because surely everyone has read it by now. But if not, what are you waiting for?!??! I tried to hold off until it was finished (I prefer to read through in one sitting usually) but curiosity got the better of me. I didn’t regret it at all! Updates were consistently amazing and the story kept me hooked! I hate when I forget what happened by the time there’s an update, that was definitely not the case with Slow Show. On that note, off to reread it after I finish this post!

I download my favorite fics and upload a custom cover.
(I’ve read too many to keep them straight without something to help trigger my memory!)
I think it's time to reread Slow Show again, even for the fourth time.
