4. Are there any dragons in the clan that don’t fit in or go against the norm? How so?
Despite being arguably the most important dragon in the entire clan, Seirian really doesn’t fit in. He never spends time with the rest of the clan, he never really enters the Dreampeak, and most will only ever see him off in the distance going about his work as the island caretaker. He is a very sweet boy though and he loves visitors!
6. Who is a dragon you have little to no lore written about? What do you think you might do with them?
There are honestly so many with no lore right now, but I’m gonna go with Crypta! I think I’m going to make her a bone collector and/or taxidermist (and possible undead? we’ll see haha)
7. Who has the strangest color combination in your clan?
I don’t have any really out there weird color combinations (barring beloved gen ones who need to be scattered), so I’ll go for one that I didn’t expect to ever have or like! Bastian, who is Steel/Coal/Fern
11. Are there any shrines or temples dedicated to the clan deity?
There is a general temple for all of the Eleven, as well as a single combined shrine for the Windsinger and Tidelord. During festivals, the temple is decorated in honor of the celebrating flight’s deity and special events are held. Sometimes stalls in the marketplace are rented out by travelling acolytes and temporarily turned into places of conversion and worship.
12. A random dragon’s favorite scent?
Ryssasan loves the crisp, clean smell of fresh water from little streams or brooks, it comforts him and his mate (who has a tiny amount of Water magic) uses this to calm him when he gets overstimulated by his thoughts.
19. The bad boy/girl/nonbinary dragon in your clan?
Heck!! Hard question, but umm… I’ll go with Ladon! I feel like everyone probably knows his story already because I’ve shared it a lot but he’s a Shade priest. I keep going back and forth on his personality but he is definitely a sort of bad boy? Very handsome and Taboo.
24. Are resources scarce or plentiful?
Very plentiful! Due to the Dreampeak being a trading outpost, there is almost always food and material to go around; if resources suddenly disappear, as they are wont to do sometimes, they pay Sephara to go to other trading clans and buy supplies for them.
31. Who’s the night owl of the clan?
I… don’t have any? That’s gotta be a mistake what the heck
33. Cutest couple in the clan?
How am I supposed to answer this haha um Unknown/Corrin are my favorite and I think they’re very cute because I get to see all their gushy moments and cuddles that no one else has yet, Autumna/Treven are That Couple that everyone wishes they were, Weasel/Sephara have the best dynamic that I love writing because they bounce off of each other so well with Weasel’s humor and Seph’s attempts at being a Serious Pirate Captain, then obviously the sweetest is Symund/Oren, oooh but there’s also Gambit/Gale who are like adorable, so yeah literally the hardest question I refuse to answer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and that’s not even mentioning my progens who are the Sweetest Grandparents Ever
36. The most stressed?
ME, I’M THE MOST STRESSED
40. How does your clan communicate with it’s allies?
Primarily letters! Sometimes for more urgent matters, Kasinda and/or Zenia go personally to discuss the situation.
@miasmajesty replied to your photoset “the little gal of the nest is good too though…. the mantis is weird...”
you said pink and i perked up ngl. but noT PINK ENOUGH. 7/10, still cute tho
if you sell a kidney and gem gene him up he looks a bit like a pink lemon-melonade consort, but given that he’s decayspawn also maybe a big sadomasochist
mostly though he looks like that fucking halloween starbucks drink
7. Has your clan ever lost amajor battle/war? Did they suffer many casualties? If they’ve never lost/foughta battle, how many casualties do you think they’d have?
They actually haven’t! Other than just some general bits of in-fighting between Flight Reps and whatnot, they’ve never seen an actual battle before. The only ones who have are Zenthra and Vizanti, so they’ve done all they can to ensure the warriors are prepared, but there’s nothing like the heat of battle that proves whether or not the learners have been listening.
I think Thorim Rift would do well enough in battle because of this. (Course, the city also includes lots of NPCs who don’t have dragons so putting up numbers isn’t really possible. And I don’t plan on killing off any of my muses at the moment, so. XD)
8. How prepared is your clanfor a surprise attack?
Very. Raphael is not a lax Commandant, and he listens to his battle-hardened generals. Thorim Rift is large enough to pose a serious threat and outside interest by sheer numbers and resources, which could also make them a target for any number of reasons. And they have had local technology stolen before when the city itself was much smaller and less organized. They’re not going to allow that sort of humiliation happen a second time.
31. What is your clan’s maingoal? Does it have one? If so, how did it come about?
At its heart Thorim Rift was a place of refuge, started by my progen as a shelter for those who were weary and in need of recuperation before going off into the world. While she still upholds her own tradition, the city itself has far surpassed its humble beginnings. Now a shining metropolis, it’s a place of opportunity and wonderful if not exactly balanced diversity, but that doesn’t stop those who are willing to press with effort and drive to be a success. Thorim Rift is a powerhouse resting on its laurels, in a sense, lavishing in great success that now needs to be carried further by the next generation instead of just taken advantage of by those who grew up in it.
Basically, it’s a very Lightning city.
32. How does your clan viewoutsiders? Other clans? Is there a protocol when dealing with each?
They welcome outsiders! They screen them to ensure the safety of its citizens and potential citizens, of course, but all Flights are welcomed and represented in Thorim Rift. Course, such things don’t always work, unfortunately, but they do their best. They’re open towards other clans, and almost constantly have representatives from other places coming in and out for visits or to try and form alliances. Generally, they are interviewed and checked over, merchandise is checked, sent to the information desk for maps and questions answered, and set loose. More official visits are handled with more pomp and a little differently, of course.
67. Who misses their oldflight/home the most?
I thought this was going to be a difficult one to answer, but he just jumped right at me almost immediately. Salambek does. He misses Plague to the point that he’s been contemplating staging an uprising of some sort. Something about doing as they were intending and spreading as they should. I think the old man needs to go back home for a visit, maybe retire from his Representative station and let someone younger take his place instead. Unfortunately, he’s become quite vital to the city’s success. Evidently, he’s grown tired of it in some way.
68. Which dragon knows everysecret in the clan? Would they share them for the right price?
At first I was going to say no, but that’s not actually true. She may not know every secret there is to know, but Soza, the founder of this place, still holds her position as someone anyone can go to. Just to talk, or for advice, her inn is forever open to anyone in need. Honestly, you couldn’t pay her the world to have her betray the trust so many dragons over the years have put in her. She would die first.

love the mental image of him just off whistling pleasantly whilst everything is on fire and going to shit
that is exactly what’s going to happen to the scarred wasteland.
I just have to figure out what it is he’s doing while he wanders. he’s probably become this otherworldy, wandering healer, who brings autumn wherever he goes and smells strongly of dirt. grass withers at his feet but springs to life when he cups it in his hands, roots wind and weave through his fingers until its falling onto the floor like a small green and brown waterfall.
stories crop up about this stranger, and somehow none of the castle’s forces notice because no one’s ever actually noticed him.
