So... in S11E4 Sam is visited by a younger version of his father in a dream. Sam doesn't believe that it's John as the things he's saying and the warnings he's giving about the Darkness require a deeper knowledge of what that is than John would ever have had. I haven't come across any discussions about this, but I think that it was Michael reaching out to him, not God and not Lucifer.

In an earlier episode, a demon tells Crowley that they all heard a screeching coming from the Cage and thought that it was Michael or Lucifer trying to warn them about what was to come. Later on in the season Lucifer tells Sam that he was able to reach out of the cage just enough to implant memories of the Cage into Sam's mind.

I know the Michael in the Cage shares a body with Adam, but Michael did use John as a vessel at one point and Sam is more likely to trust his father than a half-brother he barely knows. Matt is acting a lot like he did when he portrayed Michael, though he does seem a little... softer, more human. I think that may be due to Adam's influence that we witness in season 15.

Idk, I just feel that it's very plausible that Michael made an on-screen appearance in season 11 and wasn't just mentioned in passing by Lucifer. I'm rewatching the entire series now that I'm an adult and I'm picking up on a lot more things than I did as a teenager.

It had been a lovely day so far. The sun was warm but not too hot, a nice breeze had been blowing all day and a sweet smell of flowers filled the air of the park as you and Michael strolled down the small path you decided to follow.

Finally, Michael had a day off from heavenly business and you had decided to bring him to your favourite park. It wasn't much, you knew it well, but you were so happy to spend time with him that it didn't matter where you two went. The only thing that did matter was that you two were together.

You were walking near a little pond, hands intertwined as Michael was stroking yours with his thumb, when you noticed a little yellow spot walking on the grass towards you.

You stopped in your tracks, making Michael turn to the pond with a puzzled look. Then he saw what you had fixed your eyes on, what made you smile brightly so suddenly.

"It better not be what I think it is" he sighed, even tough he knew perfectly what it was.

"He recognized me!" you smiled, bending down to the little duck you've been feeding for a week now. "Can we keep it?" you looked him in the eyes, yours sparking with joy. "Please Michael" you pleaded, after seeing the unsure look on his face. "He's so cute"

Michael sighed again, but with a smile. He knew be couldn't nothing against those eyes. "Seems like you two are meant to be then"

Your eyes, if possible, started shimmering even more. You stood up and hugged him tight, while the small duck started quaking. But your little friend had to wait right now. "Thank you" you whispered, leaving a quick kiss on his mouth and cheeks. Michael's lips curled in a smile.

"I would do anything for that smile, my love" and he kissed you again, a more sweet and lingering kiss this time, and you couldn't help but fall in love with him even more than you already had.
