I can't believe the Magnus Archives was a podcast.
When I started the Magnus Archives on recommendation from a friend (thanks, Chloe!), I had no idea how many dozens of hours I would spend listening to episodes, theorizing about the mysteries presented in them, and just overall how much I would love it! It’s filled with so many cool characters and concepts—my favorites being Gerry Keay, the Distortion (especially Michael), and NotThem—and I think the season finales in particular will be considered some of favorite podcast episodes in general for years to come. I had no idea it was going to mean so much to me when I started it one random day in 2019, but it truly has become one of my favorite stories. I’m sad to see it go (and I’m sure I won’t ever really let it go—I can re-listen to it as many times as I want, damn it), but I am so satisfied with the finale.
To celebrate the Last Words of the Magnus Archives, I drew my Michael cosplay design. This design is based on the Distortion when it was known under the alias Michael, and inspired by the descriptions of him and his domain, an M.C. Escher-esc hellscape. Because of that it’s also of course inspired by M.C. Escher’s iconic work itself, Relativity.

hey i really thought ur michael cosplay was really cool! i was interested in doing my own and was wondering how you made the fingers?
First of all, thank you! I am really proud of that cosplay, and the fingers are basically the first prop I ever made.
I made them roughly using this tutorial: https://web.archive.org/web/20131125052718/http://tiff.cc/osplay/how-to-make-lady-deathstrikes-claw-nails/
I got an email asking to write a tutorial on this because the page that had the original guide, belonging to tkyzgallery, is now closed. I'm
But I used printer paper for the base, taped it together using scotch tape, cut it into the shape I wanted, and then covered it all with black duct tape. (I'm sorry if some of the names are odd, English is not the main language in my country so we have different names for stuff)
To adhere the fingers to the glove I wore all of it over a disposable glove (to protect my hands) and then used super glue (Idk what kind of glue you'll be using but mine got really cold to the point that I had to take the gloves off so be careful!)
When you finish them, I'd love to see your cosplay!
Michael pics. I love this boy.
