I Love You, Phillip Morris Movie Review
Director: Gleen Ficarra, John Requa. Writer: Gleen Ficarra, John Requa, Steve McVicker. 2009.
A very well done action-crime comedy based on true events.
The story seemes ridiculous at first, and it is, but it works very well; it starts you off rather quickly, the pace moves fast and the tones are lights and happy, you enjoy it a lot during the first act, and I liked how as the second and third act come to play it starts to go slowly and the tones start to go darker, (even the colors change from yellows to blues, and it was very nicely done), the story starts to take a more serious turn, for about 20 seconds then it’s back to laugheter; and that dinamic makes it work very well.
It’s funny and entertaining, the characters are likeable and the story enjoyable.
I’d give it five out five jail pen-pals
