okay okay but adam adjusting to the world after being dead and then locked in the cage for 10 years (1000+ years in hell) would literally be so interesting. not only because he’s with michael and being michael’s guide to earth and such (which don’t get me wrong i love). but adam died in 2009 and was resurrected a year later only to be michael’s vessel and then sent to hell for 10 years.
in the past 10 years, there have been major advancements in technology, the rise and/or fall of companies, media, and celebrities that changed pop culture, etc. (obviously like politics or world events but supernatural is complicated and made an oc president so we don’t really know the political landscape of america, let alone the world.) and while we got mary being introduced to laptops and smartphones, she died in 1983 there was a lot she had to figure out. but idk the concept of dying in 2009 when the iphone exists (adam didn’t have one he has a qwerty keyboard phone) but it’s just the beginning of a technological revolution. and by the time he got back, it was vaguely familiar but so so different.
in 2009, youtube was just becoming mainstream. the world hadn’t been introduced to justin bieber or one direction. the mcu was only a vision and iron man had only been released the year before. angelina jolie and brad pitt were some of the biggest celebrities.
adam comes back and has so much to show michael but also so much he has to figure out himself. when he’s stuck at the bunker he walks around and ends up in the dean cave sees a wii u and is like, “hmm a piece of high tech modern technology.” he and michael have found a place to live and are trying to settle in, adam decides to go pick up some books and he can’t find a borders. he overhears tfw talking about watching some netflix and adam is surprised that they deliver dvds to the bunker. midam goes to visit amara and they whip out their ipad to order some food from like grub hub or something and adam is like, “??? why is your phone so big and your going to do what on what??”
