Watched the new Showtime series, KIDDING. Unreal! The 1st episode's so dark, hilarious, & weird all at once. All 8 episodes are directed by Michael Gondry. Jim Carrey plays Jeff Pickles - a.k.a Mr. Pickles, a longtime children's TV host - whose grief over the death of a son begins blurring his real life persona with the persona he plays on television. Also features Catherine Keener, Judy Greer, & the ever awesome Frank Langella. Might be too dark for some. It's a comedy, but bleak. The show tackles many deep issues through its dark comedy, yet it's bound to turn certain people off. Father Gore's favourite comedy is the darkest of kinds, so it's only natural gravitating towards KIDDING.
