If I told you there was a truly stellar restaurant in Vallejo - you might call me a liar. But it’s true! Amber from @winetraveleats posted about it recently and that reminded me we have been meaning to check out the restaurant Michael Warring - named after its owner and chef. This is a tiny restaurant in an unassuming strip mall space in the Hiddenbrooke neighborhood of Vallejo. We enjoyed their Thursday night 12-course tasting menu and everything was a hit! We abandoned our keto diet for the night and indulged in everything including the seemingly endless array of desserts. We brought one of our wines - the 2014 Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha Touriga Nacional from Portugal’s Dao region - and it was a lovely pairing.
