the end result of goofing around about a conversation about giant lollipops, beanie hats, and gambit/chanbit. Seemed funny at the time, so eh, may as well stick it online. Drawn in mspaint for the comedy of it.

Super Secret Plushie Week!
new items up on Etsy! these were kept a secret for a certain special convention, and new dolls are being released daily for a week! Today's is the Cajun Catboy Maid Plush! https://www.etsy.com/listing/4521657431/cajun-catboy-maid-plush
oh no, it became a series. Made to go with the other drawing because since it was Chanbit Gambit, it was decided he needed a pony, because magic mike.
How it started vs How its going. I decided to copy over the lineart stage of the cloth poster project I sized up from the comic coverart onto a plain shirt and painted it with acrylics mixed with a fabric paint medium. I quickly discovered that the cat has had enough of my shenanigans and he tried to lay on the face while it was still wet, causing the eyebrows to smudge and bleed and the more I tried to fix it the worse it looked, so this version just has a derpy eyebrow now, I give up. This is as done as it's getting. There may still be a final version of the poster size made later for my wall with some corrections and improvements, but for now this version can hang on my wall after surviving a day out of wearing at the local comicon this weekend and I'll be happy with it.
As always with this project, may Larroca forgive me my sins against his art for they are many and horrible, but it makes my heart happy to see this finished at least as it is.
Phase One complete! Turning one of my favorite comic cover arts into poster-size and putting it on a yard of fabric to hang on my wall because I didn't have paper big enough, but I have plenty of fabric and markers and paints. Still a lot of coloring to be done, but I'm tired and my eyes need a break and I already messed up not noticing one of the face cards' heads was facing the wrong way in the resize sketch until after inking, so ehhhhhhhhh good enough, it's just going on my own wall. Larroca forgive me for I have sinned, it's derpy as hell in a few spots and nowhere near as good as the original, but I tried to make it pretty. Changed up some of the face card art because reasons, added to and completed a few cards where the original was missing em, and got a little nostalgic for my old rollerblades that had those same straps his gloves have while drawing em. Phase Two will be completing the colors and maybe giving it a border/edging to clean it up and adding a hanging rod.
Tiny preview section of a larger project. Forgive me Larroca for I have sinned. My idiot brain decided to taunt me and be like "Hey, remember that one cover art you really REALLY liked and can't find anymore except as tiny jpegs in horrible resolution, or the comic in your own collection? Yeaaah, wouldn't that look awesome poster-sized on your wall? It would, wouldn't it? and you ARE an artist, aren't you, you USED TO do this stuff pretty good... bet you could make that poster yourself, if you wanted to, you washed up old babushka." And so, nine sheets of paper taped together and too many hours staring at a gridded reference picture and insulting myself and whatever remains of my drawing ability, the initial resize sketch exists. it is utter garbage compared to the original, and I am tired. The cat helped a few times so there are extra lines to clean up, and it is missing lots of bits, and screw the details this is not the detail pass this is the "oh god please don't be crosseyed and look like a potato" pass of getting proportions and things in generally the right places so cleanup and actual drawing can be done later. also, gatdamn those face cards yo. Just resizing the cards is gonna take me like two more days to finish, because face cards, and I had to be extra dumb and add the missing parts and a few extra cards to where the original image was cropped for the cover image.
another age complete... mostly. a few more technical things to polish up and minecraft selenitic age joins the others. i might actually get this done on time as planned. now hope i don't jinx myself saying that.
Just a pixelart i did of a minecraft sniffer having a picnic because of a joke conversation on the server i play on.
