Can we talk about Michelle?
When Eggsy, who is in custody, turns to the operator, he says, “My mom said to call this number if I ever needed help.” Michelle left the medal to Eggsy. Did she want her son to feel protected, or did she really believe that “this weird guy in a suit” could sort out his problems.
Also note the moment in the post credits scene when Dean starts humiliating Eggsy again. And what does Michelle do? She asks her kid to leave so he doesn't get hurt. Just like Eggsy asked Harry to leave when he thought Dean's gang might beat up the old man.
And that's especially valuable considering Michelle isn't a strong character. She's just an ordinary person in a difficult situation, but also wanting a happy life for her child.
I'm also wondering what kind of relationship Michelle and Harry might have had. You know, when it comes to Lee's death, Harry always emphasizes that it was his fault. I don't know if he did that with Michelle. And I don't think she has a lot of information about Galahad. To her, Harry would be the one who gave Eggsy a chance to change both his and her life. He gave her son a job, left him a big house, taught him good manners. I don't think they would have become best friends, but she might have felt some sort of appreciation for him.
