“An hour, she said,” Merlin muttered. “Oh Merlin, just an hour and we do need a few more wreaths, the walls a bare.” He was on a ladder and decorating the 10 foot tall tree Harry had ordered for the hallway. “I could be coding right now, prepping Galahad for the mission,” he continued to mutter. “But no she bats her pretty eyes and I’m agreeing to all the fucking holiday cheer and then whammo she disappears on me. This is revenge for the play I took her to.” He put up a few more ornaments. “Ho ho fucking ho.”

“How’s that the holiday spirit?” Roxy asked from below.

“Because they are actual ornaments being hung with care,” he replied not looking at her. “Versus just throwing computer chips at it.”

“You’ve never decorated a tree like that.”

“He has, the ones he hasn’t lit on fire that is,” Harry said walking by with a stack of stockings to hang for the agents. “He and Christmas trees don’t get along.”

“Then why did you agree to this?” Roxy asked. Merlin started to head down the ladder and said something. “Pardon?” she didn’t quite hear it.

“Because ye asked me,” Merlin repeated the tips of his ears a little red. “And you like Christmas.” He finally gave her a proper look and stared at the bags on the floor. “That is a lot of wreaths.” As far as he could see there wasn’t a single wreath in the pile of bags.

“I saw a perfect gift for Eggsy in a store window and then it sort of snowballed?” She smiled. “We should finish decorating so we can put these under there.”

They moved together and Merlin indulged himself by picking up Roxy a few times to hang ornaments and Eggsy came to up but groaned and walked away, grossed out by all their smooching.

Finally they could put the gifts under the tree. Roxy had made a very impressive dent in the London shops in a very short time. She handed a small box to Merlin. “A little treat for helping me decorate,” she said.

Merlin opened it, curious. He then laughed at the little light up Santa’s Best Helper button. He let Roxy attach it to his sweater. It blinked and when she tapped it also played music. “Brilliant,” he said. He gave her a kiss.

He wore the button every day until Christmas.

The Holidays Are Coming...

And the mods over here have been busy making plans! 

However, we want to make sure to get everyone’s opinion first, before we make any final decisions :D

As many of you will remember, last year, instead of running a winter exchange, we ran Kingsman Stocking Stuffers. As we described it last year:

Anyone who would like some treats this holiday season can send in a request with a list of likes, any do not wants, and a few prompts and then we can all go crazy filling each other’s stockings with goodies based on those requests. No formal claims or matching and absolutely any type of gift is welcome: drabbles, ficlets, fic, sketches, traditional/digital art, graphics/manips/edits, gif sets, fanvids, playlists, meta, icons, a collage of Colin’s hands and Taron’s thighs, cheesy holiday cards, a dirty limerick or haiku, absolutely anything at all. If you can create it, it will be accepted with open arms.

And then we all roll around in the fandom goodness and love this holiday season and everyone wins!

So the questions for you all are: 

Would you like us to run Stocking Stuffers again, or a full Secret Santa? 

Does everyone want to participate in two full Secret Santas every year?

Eggsy turning out to be the changeling son of the faerie queen herself is a bit more fun than Harry had bargained for.

So I did a thing! This was for @kingsmansecretsanta for @thesilverqueenlady and their amazing prompts -- the summary of which could really just be: In which Sass has never met a trope she didn’t like. 

My id got hold of this, so instead of just writing this prompt:  “When they do the blood tests to join Kingsman, it's revealed Eggsy is actually a Fae changeling. Harry and/or Merlin are agents placed at agencies like Kingsman (where changelings' extraordinary abilities can make them end up) specifically to seek out changelings and protect them. AKA Eggsy is actually Fae royalty, and Harry and/or Merlin is the bodyguard that Prince/Lord Eggsy falls for.” I threw in a bit of a/b/o, soulbonds/soulmarks, random pilfering of mythology and fae related tropes and ideas, and god knows what else. I had a lot of fun and I hope everyone else did too ♥
