I know. She’s clearly been having trouble for a few years, and she keeps trying so hard. She’s so incredible, and so strong.

she really is. and she pours all of that into her music, into her performances, into sharing what she can with us, and it’s devastating to see what happens to her body not because of that, but almost to spite all her best efforts.

then i think, “if this is what she’s capable of being and doing while she’s having trouble, then aren’t we lucky that we’re able to share these experiences with her?” we’re so lucky that she’s giving us what she can while she can, and i’m more than a little horrified to hear how much pain she’s been in while still giving us music to enjoy. even when it comes to her own body, ayumi hamasaki the artist comes first.

and i know she’s never been the type to take it easy or rest up, but i really hope she can find some kind of happy medium for her health’s sake. no one worth her time would think ill of her for doing what she has to.

The book is so great!

I just got the audiobook/book combo so I can start reading it this weekend =) I’ve heard so many good things about that book (and I also love Neil Gaiman a lot already). It’ s been on my TBR read for ages but I just had not gotten around to it yet, the movie’s super excellent casting and your reccomending it is certainly a great incentive though!

I've always wanted to read this one. It was made into a horrible movie some years back that put me off it for awhile, but I'll have to try it again.

I was also wondering if the novel might be worth reading, and based on the anime I would be hopeful about it. Maybe I’ll try it too!

I thought Alexander worked as individual scenes, but didn't add up to a movie. You'll have to say what you think!

I'm watching the 3½ hour final cut of the movie and I think I'll have to watch the second half tomorrow because it's getting so late. I haven't seen this movie since it came out in the cinema so I don’t remember much about it, but I think it might have worked better as a miniseries...

AC Black Flag is probably my fav in the franchise, but I feel like they dropped the ball with ACIII. It just felt like the story line took way too much time to get started and was a bit, well, boring.

Yeah many people didn't like it for that very same reason, I instead found it hard to play Black Flag because even if I like pirates a lot Edward's plot didn't catch my interest that much. Though imo Revelations isn't as bad as they say. :)

I think I might have a special place in my heart for Black Flag, because it was the first AC game I played and completed. I totally understand it when people say they don't like Edward or his story, because while he is charming as hell, he's also so very flawed (the novelization makes him even worse because it explores his alcoholism more), but that's why I love him and why his story and eventual redemption gets me so emotionally invested in him. I also love the sailing aspect in BF, but it's such a big part of the game that if it's not your thing, then I can see why the game isn't for you.

Poor Hiro, always trying to make himself think it's not a big deal. He's lucky he's wrong and Nowaki really loves him, or he'd give himself a complex. ><

I’m really looking forward to see if that way of thinking is ever properly addressed in the story or does he keep doing it every time he’s hurt or insecure. I know I could use some more outside perspective about it myself.

I don't know why, but that "What?" is actually kind of funny.

He said it a lot in the conversation with Kousaka! Hm, I wish we knew more about his true motivations as well. So many things that have remained mysteries!
