Why Necromancy Doesn't Exist is a fantasy Micro-RPG about magic, taxonomy, and petty academic disagreements. If you like making arguments for the sake of making arguments, compiling evidence to support a clearly ridiculous claim, or having in-depth discussions about fake things that don't matter -- well, that's what this game is about.
Why Necromancy Doesn't Exist will always be free, but if you enjoy it, check out my other games.
I’ve just published a journaling game on itch.io, as part of the Goncharov jam!
Saving Goncharov is a one-page journaling micro-rpg, in which you play as a film archivist cataloguing a collection of ephemera from the set of the lost 1973 film Goncharov, the greatest mafia movie ever made. It’s inspired both by community creation of Goncharov, and by my own experiences working as an archivist.
Saving Goncharov is free (or pay what you want if you’re feeling generous!), and you can download it here!
One of my goals for the year is to participate in some ttrpg jams, and I've already been able to be in one! Continuing my experimentation with micro-rpgs, I submitted to the 48-Word RPG Jam. The theme is Infinity, which tapped into something I've been mulling over in my head for a while: a character generation game where your stats change all the time.
And so You, Again was born! It fits on a business card and encourages a single player to explore how you might change when you face everyday (or not-so-everyday) challenges.
A micro-RPG about domestic robots overcoming their programming to enter and win a band competition.
I’m getting back into making one-page micro #RPGs and other small games!
Here’s one about domestic robots trying to work within (or transcend) their ethical programming to win a band competition; it’s called Machine Yearning.
Do you enjoy walks but it's kind of tough to do them? Well, same.
I would even say that's relatable enough that I would make an entire 12-word micro-rpg, based in the exploration and playful discovery of your real-life surroundings, with the help of a simple paper plane.
If you enjoyed one of my former games, SELF-CARE OR DARE! (and If you didn't, feel free to check it out!), this one could provide you with another playful coping mechanism for a mundane but valuable portion of your life. And If it doesn't, well, also great. Maybe you would just dig to spice up another walk in the park or through your apartment! Living room! Garage! Whatever space has a gravity field to throw this thing!
Give it a look over here! It's PWYW down to 0$ and comes with a free, printable digital poster of the cover Illustration in the sizes A4 and A3!
This game was made as a Jam entry to W.H. Arthur's and Rook and Role's 12-word Jam on itch.io, as an interpretation of one of the optional themes (cartography! more or less!). It was incredibly fun to create, illustrate and layout this game, after this specific idea came to me through a conversation with my girlfriend (@carecrowgames who made and ACTUAL cartography entry, a 12-word game engine to make 12-word games! check it out over here).
I hope it brings you joy, If you have any opinons or comments on this game feel free to share them with me in my asks or on any other social media platform you can find me on. ALSO, If you happen to print one of the posters, I would love to see it!
We’re counting down the days International Tabletop Day 2018, happening this year on April 28th! As we get closer to the big day, we’ll be looking at the gamut of tabletop gaming, from the stories of the games we play to remarkable people who love them. Today we’re looking at...
It’s the most spooky time of the year! To celebrate, here’s Interment - a micro-RPG about loss, funeral rites, necromancy, and covering a skull in glitter. Get some paper printouts or a paper-mache skull, some craft supplies, and play!
