*Gomez Addams voice* An Impostoré! This little man seems to be attacking our kalanchoe succulent's offspring! We believe it is a mealy bug, but did not find any other plants that had any, so hopefully that means we caught the infestation in time.

My blood, magnified 400 times. Your blood is made up of four different things: two types of blood cells (red and white), platelets, and plasma, the liquid that these things float in. What do you see in this image? All of the stacked discs are red blood cells (erythrocytes). The spiky sphere towards the bottom of the image (or micrograph) just slightly off to the right is a white blood cell (leukocyte). White blood cells are a part of your immune system and help your body fight infections. You can’t easily see any platelets here but what they do is promote clotting any time your skin gets cut or otherwise damaged. Platelets caused the red blood cells above to stick together, as I had left this sample exposed to air for a few minutes. Any guess to the role of red blood cells? They carry oxygen throughout your entire body.
